collecting kief from dry bud or not?

I always thought leave em alone and leave it all on there. My buddy made a convincing argument that a lot will just fall off being moved around, bumping the jars, etc and we should just shake it loose now and collect it rather than loosing it..what ya think?

I'm coming to the end of my first grow now, you do have a good point. I guess it depends if your keeping it for personal or not. When you buy weed its never as covered in trichomes as when you grow your own... Its either because they have fallen off along the way or someone has stolen em lol. I think it makes sense too pass em over a screen real gently to collect the ones that would end up stuck to a jar, a bag or fingers etc.... There again.. I'm a noob so what do I know eh lol. Just thought id give my opinion tho lol

I give it to my guys the way it is. They tend to enjoy seeing it covered in trichs whether it falls off or not.

I always give trims a bounce on a screen before running them as water hash or BHO. Bouncing the nugs only makes the bud weaker. However if a bigass pile of kief is your aim then I say go for it. I know the guys I used to get weed from off the street bounce off the trichs on the outside of finished buds before bagging them up- fuckers!
