Cold Temperatures

So its is now becoming winter and the temperatures outside are dropping And the temperature inside as well. My Closet stays between 70-73F in the day time but at night the temps in my closet are getting down to 49-53F and i have noticed drooping in some of the leaves of myladies! I live in a house that has been spilt into 4 seperate appartments, So my whole appartment is on 1 circut, and when i tried a space heater it flipped the breaker.So my question is what other problems do i have to be concerned about seeing w/my ladies? and is there any advice on what i could do to help heat?

t forgot to mention that there is no heater vent in my room either.

see if there is room innyour breaker box to add another breaker in there and wire to the one you are blowing so you wont do that nymore nd ull be able to add a heater but 73 dosent sound that bad tho man actually ideal what is the lowest temps u are getting? i have 2 thermomters nd they record the max nd min bout 12 bucks from wally world

Have to tried to run an extension cord to a different outlet and see if it doesnt trip that way ? Is there anything you can unplug so the breaker can accommodate the heater without tripping. Seems like you should have more than one breaker even in an apartment.

NO its an old house and my room is like a big effeciency that they later added a small room in the corner, and thats when i moved in. On averagre the lowest is 59-60f at night.

Stop stressing out ! I run about the same temps all winter long.

yea those temps are fine man thats what i run ive gone down lower with no affects just dont let it get below 45 the lowest mine has gotten was 51 nd i run my ac all winter long on low

You could have the lights on at night and off during the day. Youd probably keep a pretty close range all day.

ITs too late to change the cycle, but i did think of that too late of course im 3weeks in.

Plus you def won't have to worry about pests. Expect your shit to turn purple/black . get a very large container, fill it with water, put in a 150 watt or better aquarium heater, warm that shit up on high ( 85 degrees or so ) the larger the amount of water the more its gonna retain heat and a stable temp, good luck and happy growing.

To change the timing of your light cycle, keep it dark for the additional time, and start the Light cycle after that.

Plants are sensitive to light, the extra dark will not effect your plants

so 24hours of darkness then just adjust to the prefered times?

Aslong as it doesnt FREEZE in your room,
nothing to worry about.
Marijuana plants tend to get used to the conditions,
depending on your strain.

i like the idea of just running your lights at night.....I live in Ca right now and it gets down into the low 50's so i allways run my lights at night to keep the room heated and in the daytime its not cold so i can just have lights off and no heater.......Also im home at night so it only makes sense to have my lights on when im home...Im not home in the daytime as much so why would i want my lights running when im not home if i dont have to.....just seems to make sense all around really.......do like that one guy suggested let them sit for 24 in dark then flip the switch on at night be all good.....

If you are running you lights 6 am to 6 pm, just leave your lights off until you want them to start the new cycle..

yea right, youll burn em up. You cant control the temperature on those its on or off.

I would go with light on at night or run a extension cord from another room. But even with the cycle change you will still probably want a heater. Those temps really are not that bad though if you with what the plants are exposed to in the fall. You just dont want them to get frost on them.

But I did read in the Cannabis Grow Bible that you dont want the temperature to go below 55 at night because it stunts growth below 30 will cause serious damage.

I try to get them real cold the last week of flowering to bring out real nice colors. But you still dont want to go below 30 or get frost.
