so can i keep feeding her without any need to give just pH'd water in between? phyx - why do you not use any cal mag?... i thought you were supposed to i use tap water too, usually let it sit overnight.
I have never used cal mag...

Tap water must sit over night yes...

There is alot of calcium in the water that comes from the city.... I have never had the need to use it... Like I mentioned the Coco seems to retain a little of calcium in the medium and over time you actually should use clearex to flush some out...

I know I am late in the game here. I am running coco and treat it like hydro. I feed 2x a day during lights on for a couple minutes- until there is 10-15% runoff. The plants love it. Check my journal in my sig for proof. You don't really want to let it dry. You can but more frequent feeding will prevent salt buildup in the coco. The best results I have seen is feeding like hydro. It is pretty hard to overwater this shit- especially if you toss in some perlite or hydroton;)

Not true MY FRIEND... Too frequent watering will cause more problems than you have now....

Maybe if you are mixing coco with other stuff but NOT if you are Running Pure Coco Coir.....

Ok, i have seen her drooping a few times like tonight, i guess she is wanting feeding... So can i just give water with nutes every time or do i need to give pH'd water in between - its just its very different from soil, dont want to burn her

Pure Coco Coir has No nutrients within the medium and is a PH 7.... So YES you should water with nutrients every time.... I water every 3 hours during Veg and about once every 12 hours if seedlings

Coco coir with 25% perlite and some dolomite for ca. Work excellent for me. Look at my journal. Not trying to bullshit this guy!

I running at 1600ppm in weeks 5-7 of flower...
weeks 1-4 of flower at about 900ppm-1200ppm
no Cal Mag at all... if you use cal mag I would use once every few weeks...

I seen man... what you said is NOT incorrect but NOT applicable to this instance.. In pure coco coir it is a little different than a blend of perlite or hydroton...

Anyone else want to share their views on why the ppm's on the advanced nutrients bottle and calculator differ?... Just want to get a safe maximum level for flower and want to keep them green all the way through the grow :)

Thats why I stopped using advance nutrients... They do alot of advertising and marketing to get you to buy their product and really there is nothing special about it....

Here's a current update of how she is doing... she is taking the nutes ok - currently at just under 1000ppm in veg

One question for you coco growers though - do your plants tend to droop then pick up pretty quickly as this tends to happen with mine?

I am feeding once a week and she currently weighs 12.5kg when full with water and 8.5kg dry so i fed her last time when she was at 10.5kg (ie less than half of her full weight)

Just seems to droop and then pick up - does this happen to anyone else?

Thx peeps

Here she is now - looking nice and healthy and i haven't watered her since taking that last pic???

Is this just something that happens when they are growing...
