Im a michigan patient so im not dealing with this issue personally but i do see something i dont like,i also think somebody needs to make this comment as it has not been spoken of yet.

What i see as the big negative to this new ruling isnt the stipulations within the law stating we must provide other services, big fukin deal, stop at the store on yer way there & bring a gallon of milk with ya & you fill the requirement of "other services".

None of that is even of concern, what should be of concern is that these changes has left total interpertation of the law in the hands of the police, now the cop asking the questions is who interperts if the acts of service which the caregiver provides are what the law stipulates.

What were gonna see is lots of arrests being made due to the line of questioning cops are sure to adopt, they will invent a new set of questions & word them in such a way where even a servant wouldnt qualify as legal.

Good luck to you guys, this is bullshit.

Ha what are you talking about? You think they're gonna round up all 106,000 of us in Colorado and throw us in jail? Jesus the weed must be getting stronger....
No I think there gonna round up the 20,000 of the 100,000 that are seen as blackmarket marijuana Drug Dealers, in addition to adopting much newer/smarter lines of questioning regarding marijuana growing activities that pose the possibility of putting innocent people in jail, for slight infractions regarding thier growing law policies and Medical Marijuana Purchasing Rights.

You may not know but applying for a Red Card in the state of Colorado as well as many other states waves your rights in many areas, especially if you ever visit a MMC and make a purchase you are giving the gov the right to retain nonsecured records of federally felony purchases of marijauana linked directly to your social security number. These records are held by a agency that can change its bylaws at any reason at anytime, as well ask that anyone in the system waive whatever rights they think we should all give up by signing up this month. Does no one realize how many times the admendment has been changed NOW!!!! IT IS 100% not true to the spirit that it was signed into with.

THE MEDICAL SYSTEM FOR POT ISNT SAFE. Until I can buy it at a Gas station with just my ID that No ONE TRIES TO FUCKING PHOTOCOPY!!! I'll just do my own thing, because after all POT ISNT ABOUT CORPORATIONS GROWING POT IN LARGE QUANTITES SOMEWHERE AND hustling it out of thier overly TRENDY Back rooms that usually look like a startup bar/Doctors Office melded with a Head Shop filled with Hipsters Its about Simplicity, and a aversion to everything that this world tries to SHOVE down our throats everyday, and I'm not gonna let these asswipes come in here and ruin ThIS SHIT...

And I dont think you all will either... or maybe i'm wrong Fuck this ima go work for Phillip Morris, and just wait.

GanjaGoddess,
Your post pretty much stops me dead in my tracks.
I had one guy out here I used to purchase from, he's gone, I'm in pain again and miss the relief. I figured I'd go the legal route, but I'm second guessing this decision, after years of saying "I don't need a card" I got a "Timmy" instead. Do I spend another year popping pills to try and find another supplier, and cancel my Dr.'s appt?
I'm beyond confused about the recent idiocy of it all.

There are alot of people right now that are finding it much better in Colorado to continue to find thier meds through the blackmarket!

Technically Any CO Patient that holds a RED CARD can purchase from any source including the black Market and is not committing a crime (ONLY THE DEALER, not the patient).

My advice is To Get a RED CARD (HELD by CDPHA, secured hippa compliant records), BUT NEVER GO TO A DISPENSARY!!!!, NEVER ASSIGN A CAREGIVER, CHECK THE SELF ONLY BOX ON THE RED CARD FORM!!!!

GROW YOUR OWN to the BEST yOU CAN, we Need to prove to the DISPENSARIES/STATE this LAW WASNT for the DISPENSES but for OURR RIGHTS TO GROW OUR OWN WEED!!!!!

I could have sworn even in California if you endup in court over being a caregiver they Too will expect you to provide PROOF you were Assisting the People before you started growing their pot.

I do not think LEO will look upon someone growing average joes pot very nicely. They do look into the people you caregive for, seeing just how ill they are.. & if you are not taking care of cancer patients, vets & the like.. you better not be in any grey areas of the law or they may smack you with the book. <3

Caregivers in Colorado are still a option but there have become very rare.

Many people are growing for themselves under thier own patient rights.

No MATTER WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN NEVER HAVE MORE THAN 92-97 PLANTS AT ONE TIME, between all GROWS INCLUDING ALL CLONES. AND ALWAys get RID OF YOUR TRASH FAST!

That makes sense GanjaGoddess. If I chose to go the blackmarket route, it really shouldn't be as difficult to find a trustworthy individual this time around, as it was last time... 3 years I was dry..
I've yet to get my card, so I wasn't aware that you had to designate a dispensary. If I don't do that am I kind of like a free agent and I can waltz into any store? Do they mark on your card your purchases?
I guess I don't even know how that works. How many hurdles do I need to friggin jump to kill my malady?

How many rings of Little Ounce Dealers exist in Colorado, ALOT! The GOV knows this, they are plotting every second how to make it harder for drug dealers to be caregivers.
the model was put forth so Wife could grow for disabled husband, not so Grower X can have 2-3 Dealer friends and 1-2 Sick people supporting his Growing weed lifestyle.
Y'know, if I had relatives or friends who needed medicinal pot and I lived in this state, I'd still be pissed off. I'd have no problem growing for them, as each extra patient's plants would add, what, about five minutes to daily grow maintenance? But my fucked up work schedule means that it's almost impossible for me to help them by doing chores and stuff, and I can barely get up enough energy when I'm off work on the weekends to do all -my- chores, much less other peoples'. (After work just isn't an option. After 8-10 hours at work, I ain't doing someone else's chores. Just...no.) If I had to spend several hours every week doing stuff for people who may not even live within half an hour's drive of me, I would refuse to do it unless it was someone I really, really cared about. I wonder how many honest-to-god legitimate caregivers who aren't growing for cash this would drive away. I see it as hurting those who're living off the profits of their grows a -lot- less.

How are you even expected to track something like that? Seriously fucking stupid. Every asinine road block they put up to try to end what WE THE PEOPLE voted for 10 years ago is laughable, but it's actually doing what they want it to. I'm a reasonable person, I pay my taxes, I bust my ass every day... what does it fucking matter? I DON'T need someone to do chores for me. Sorry, I don't expect my doctor or the lady that fills my prescription at Target to come home and water my lawn, why would should any of you be expected to. Simple answer, you're not expected to, you're expected to throw your hands up and say "Fuck it! Lets shut it down." thats all this is. Next law will require all providers to have on staff a one armed man with a lisp....... I know of one should that come to pass BTW.

If your related really in any way to the person you are "caregiving" for no ones gonna ask you to prove you do stuff beyond grow pot most likely it will be assumed. Personally this Thread shouldnt even focus on this aspect as it is so trivial its not funny. The real Problem is the CURRENT state of COLORADO's MMJ SYSTEM!!! The wool has been pulled over every single patients eye's and no ONE SEE's IT!!!!

Iv'e said it before and I'll say it again DO NOT VISIT A MMC and MAKE a PURCHASE W your RED CARDS!!!

now onto caregivers again,

So many Caregivers back in the day (~2008-2010) in colorado had 20-100 patients most of which they only had breif conversations with in the beginning and then just fell into a "I'm your new dealer" mode.
Laws were passed and as caregivers scattered many people were left with Bitter tastes that they had been used and thier information let open, which proved very true as many "CAREGIVERS" were inspected and ultimatly brought down in a DEA/State/MMED co-operative Month of stings and BUSTS, netting many illegalities and undersights they couldnt even believe themselves.

The state has resorted to Realizing that The MMJ Laws when left in OUR HANDS yeilds CRIME! They have decided that full scale TRACKING, Production Regulation, Ownership Regulation, and Strict Sales Gateways were they only way they will control MMJ and make whats owed to them.

We will never now Cannabis Sativa to be the same, they will slowly take over and push out everything in thier path. They have many, many tools to hurt the Home grower, and I am amazed that we even still have the right to grow our OWN still.

The reality is we need to better organize, and form a better lobby. The prohibition originally based upon racism to something as beneficial as this little plant angers me daily. The news, more and more, the lies, the obsession with pushing alcohol on everyone or opiates THAT WILL KILL YOU!!! frightens me as a father. Daily I want to go Howard Beale when it comes this.
This website has opened my eyes wide!
