CO-06: Why Jason Crow represents everything that's wrong with the DCCC and Establishment Democrats

Yep, that's pretty much it.

No more voting for one asshole because the other asshole is worse.

Listen to the People, or lose.

Call it whatever you want, but the Left has demonstrated that we will no longer be ignored.

And you can't fucking stand it.
Thanks for admitting that you do in fact support Donald Trump because of your disdain for the left.

LOL.

You know, it's true that I agree with Buck on a lot of issues. Including distaste for a poor man who, through his libertarian ideals thinks he's one of the wealthy and talks as if he is. So, go ahead and delude yourself.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you can now afford oatmeal to feed your kid.
So in correctly pointing out your schtick (calling a bernie voter a trumper), you respond by making up some shit about what you think my kid eats? You are poor in character.

You're really backing yourself into a corner with that one.

Listen to the people?

The fucking electoral system here does a great job of that, right?

A guy supported by a minority of voters loses by 3 million and spends 6 months ducking and dodging collusion accusations, denying global warming, hiding business dealings and tax returns while spewing 100% fake news daily.

Wow.

That shit about ball washing to me indicates a lack of an argument. It's blood in the water to me. I may only be a dog shark but I can tell when somebody is bleeding.

His background is professional sports -- hockey, retired. This isn't a comment about him per se, just that kind of talk is pretty mild compared to what goes on in locker room banter. I mean, "grab 'em by the pussy" is locker room talk according to the great football star of NY Military Academy (high school), Donald Trump. @st0wandgrow is just following in The Donald's footsteps.

I didn't vote for him. Did you?

Instead of flailing around looking for any excuse to blame others, maybe Democrats should look themselves in the mirror and acknowledge that their candidate lost to the least popular winning candidate in modern times and then ask themselves how they can avoid doing that again.

But whining about how they got cheated by the EC or that 'Bernie babies' didn't vote for her 'like they were supposed to' are stupid, self serving and presumptuous arguments that ignore the fact that their candidate SUCKED, nevermind the obvious scandal of the public perception that she got the nomination with the benefit of behind the scenes shenanigans. Whatever the reality, the perception was enough.

Finally, even the legal representation for the Democratic Party in the related lawsuit came right out and said that the party can choose its nominees any way it wants, including via deals in smoky back rooms, while ignoring the will of its constituents.

They can- and they can suffer the consequences, too.

The longer Democrats and their apologists here attempt to blame others for their loss, the longer they'll look weak, powerless, out of touch and worst of all, unwilling to change.

Somehow, I don't think that's a winning strategy going forward.

Of course not.

I'm just pointing out the 'listen to the people' part is broken, if you believe the polls @Padawanbater2 freqently posts.

The majority can want and support things that have zero chance of getting through.

We're stuck in a ditch on the right side of the road right now.

And plan on needing +5% to +10% more votes to be declared the winner.

+2.1% didn't cut it last time.

If the Democratic Party is in the ditch, it's because they drove themselves into it.

Time for someone else to take the wheel.

I suggest actually listening to the constituents next time.

Frankly, events at large and the discussion in here have convinced me that the system is fucked and we're all headed off the cliff.

Mother Nature is going to shake us off like a bad case of fleas- after we're done causing the greatest extinction event since the Cambrian Break.

The country is what's in a ditch.

The DNC is a tow truck that could get it back on the road.

Or you can bitch that it isn't far enough to the left and be happy with things as they are. There's not a lot of viable choices here right now. You know who controls the seats.

So you don't give any credence to the idea and studies showing that 30 years of right wing propaganda affected the movement rightward in this country?

huh. amazing. All that time and money spent on the right wing radio echo chamber and FOX had absolutely no effect. I'm guessing you came up with this all by yourself. Nice story.

That's exactly correct.

Not to mention the 25 yr. smear job on Hillary ever since she tried to push for single payer 24 yrs. ago when costs were more under control.

You miscast what I said. I replied in the same vein. It's not the most intelligent form of conversation but I'll play along. And I am glad that you can now afford the oatmeal to keep your kid fed.

My contention is that the Democratic Party drove themselves into that ditch by;
  1. Failing to listen to their constituents
  2. Ignoring down ticket races for several terms, leading to the loss of over 1000 seats in the last 8 years
  3. Perceived abuses in the nomination process including the 'superdelegate' bullshit
  4. Taking corporate money and thereby failing to differentiate themselves from the opposition
