clueless about nutes

The most difficult part I find about growing is figuring out the chemistry of the nutes. I have several plants now that are starting to show deficiencies, I'm assuming either a nitrogen deficiency or nute burn. My plants were a healthy color green and after watering with miracle gro (I know, I'm an idiot) a couple of times the plants seem to be losing color, as well as some of the lower plants turning yellow. I was told by a friend to blast it with some bloom nutrients and i have since ordered some dyna gro grow and dyna gro bloom. In reading I'm confused weather I should use bloom alone, mix the grow and bloom, use the grow alone the whole way through or use the grow mixed with pro-tex. Any advice would be great. I'll try and load up a couple pics. The smaller kush plants aren't as impacted as my big girl. The big girl is also about a month older than the smaller ones.

Looks like you are doing good there. When a plant starts turning light green like this,it's time to increase the ppm. This time of year you are still good for grow nutes.protek goes in by it self first in the water than add your grow.botanicare cal/mag is a good idea too.
measure your soup's ppm and lets see what 500ppm will do for you.

I'll start on the grow as soon as it arrives and I'll order the pro-tex and cal/Meg. I'll try and post another picture of the big one tomorrow. There's some leaves where the tip to about halfway down is yellow and the rest of the way down is green if that gives any indication.

Learn your npk values.
All I see in your pics are some healthy plants but I do want to ask how much you feed and how often, also what about the drainage in your pots.

Read thru this link

Also some people have used dyna gro's "grow" for their entire grow.

However, that's not to say that the bloom formula you ordered won't help.

Do whatever you can to keep your leaves healthy and green thru it's entire life.

I water daily but as far as feeding with nutrients I've only fed them a couple times with some miracle gro. The drainage in my pots are excellent, I water until I get some run off. I've read to use the grow and bloom nutes together through flowering if that's what your suggesting.

You're watering every day? I run coco and im Day 40 into flower... I only water every 3-4 days... And i have excellent drainage as well! My mix is 50% coco and 50% hydroton plus i have at least a 2 inch layer of hydroton only on the bottom of the pot under all the coco

My plants are planted in containers, in potting soil and sitting outside in the direct sunlight all day. My soil will dry to the point where it will start pulling away from the sides of the container. No way I could go more than 2 days without watering.

Most of the time it's pretty dry. I'm in Massachusetts. For example, today my plants will be in direct sunlight for about 9 straight hours with Temps in the mid 80's to almost 90 degrees. I'm gonna run out and pop a couple pics off. I have 1 leaf on my kush plant I want to show, plus the big girl.

I use the dyna grow products as well along with Fox farm ocean Forrest soil and have never had a problem. I feed and water every 2 days and they thrive. When I started my second grow I over fed and nute burned them, I simply flushed with spring water for 2 weeks and went to feeding every 2 days thereafter, haven't had a problem since. Currently on my 3rd grow and so far so good.

Do you use grow for veg and bloom for flower? Or some type of mix?

Yea grow for veg bloom for flower. I start them out a little diluted and by week 3 of veg I hit them full strength every two days.

I have never had to supplement with ca - mg or anything like it. I swear by the fox farm soils and dyna gro. I wanted to experiment with the fox farm line of nutes but don't wanna risk screwing something up when I already have a method and combination that is tried and true to me.

I'm just using a potting soil. The watering regiment hasn't been much more than water and every now and again some miracle gro. I have the grow and bloom on its way. I'm gonna start hiring them with it diluted at first like you said. Durning the winter I'm thinking about taking a cannabis grow class. There's a couple in my area. Great having a medical card

Be very careful with miracle grow, before you start with the dyna gro, make sure that you don't have some kind of time release mix of miracle grow. If you do and you start feeding them you very well could nute burn them. I lost a whole crop when I was younger due to time released feed miracle grow and I know many other people who have had trouble with it as well. Best advice would be to transplant into a good soil, flush for a couple days then start with a strict schedule of dyna grow.
