This guy is straight up saying that 24/0 in veg will make it more likely for your flowering plants to reveg..

Here's a little tip @Mr.Marijuana420 (if that is your real name): Learn to grow weed first, then open your big mouth. Take responsibility for the fact that you fucked up and ended up with reveg. It has nothing to do with what light cycle you used in veg. You fucked up.. PERIOD!

So you read here that 20/4 and 24/0 are of no added benefit to plants because plants need a sleep cycle...

YOU READ BULLSHIT!

Credibility destroyed.
I'm just on the outside looking in, but credibility destroyer how? By you saying it? Fuck off nicely. Come on, show some fucking scientific proof then

The proof is that plants in 24/0 don't start sleeping. Have you ever grown weed before?

You get reveg from messing with your light cycles after flowering begins, not from your light cycle during veg. That's just straight up wrong.

you just like talking shit is what the issue is. You again misread a post.
The fact that your lamps are only for veg makes it an even better investment. (why i brought you up in the first place). Upgrading veg lamps is a
I understand that. You get the most value out of a high efficiency veg lamp because it's on for more hours of the day, making it a better investment than a flowering lamp. The amortization time is a lot lower.

Veg is the low hanging fruit, and doublejj would actually see more benefit from cobs than anyone else on this forum (because his lighting is only for veg).
better value than upgrading flowering lamps because of how long they stay on per day.
let me break it down the light cycles OUTSIDE is right around 15hrs.when I bring my plants outside from inside. Now if me, or doublejj as you propose, vegged inside with your high eefficiency light at 20/4 and bring outside at 15/9 it will cause flower. Even starting with an 18/ 6 I've had it happen. That sharp drop in light causes flower, not 12/12. Then the daylight hrs increase outside causing reveg. Hmm.. you ever grown weed outside before? And the plants sleeping with lights on was something I read awhile back, as I originally stated. No clue if it's true, but thought it was relevant, sorry if I spread misinformation

Just picked up 6 dual bulb 36" T5 fixtures, going in a box that is 4'wide X 3.5' deep and 5' tall

Looking forward to my first grow! Some serious LST and attemping to scrog if the plants grow big enough

So.

Care to put your bud up against my t5 bud? Church haze wouldn't. He did send me pics but wasn't willing to post them publicly.

Don't get me wrong, I also use hot5 (TL led t5) but they do not have the penetration to grow sats, which tend to grow taller. This bud is 22", plus what was below that

Here you go

I build my own lights using plusrite ballast.I use eiko and plusrite bulbs. these are commercial grade components used in office buildings and factories and last much longer than the consumer grade components sold at hydro and aquarium shops. I recently picked up some roseate bulbs http://www.ebay.com/itm/261229975287?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=560206106309&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Im testing in place of 3000k bulbs in a 6500k/3000k flowering mix . I replace my bulbs every 2 years. at that point my light meter is showing a 5% drop in output. I have a small PU MMJ closet grow and can not manage the heat from HID lights. I have tried LEDs both cheap commercial units like mars hydro and DIY using 3070s, vero 18s and citizen high CRI cobs but have found nothing that grows as well as my T5s. I do not want to drill holes in my walls for cooling vents but if I could manage the heat then the new LEC (light emitting ceramic A.K.A. high pressure CMH) look attractive and are gaining popularity rapidly among commercial growers up here. hope this is useful to you

Anyone seen t-5s in 5000k? Are they being made?

Im guess im going to try to run 3-5-6 k in my badboy and hydrofarms. I did buy a reptile uv bulb but use it sparingly until i have better sunglasses. Rite aid specials aint cuttin iy.

I use plusrite bulbs and ballast and get 2 years out of the bulb before they show a 5% drop in output but with 6500k/3000k mix I fail to see the advantage of adding 5000k. you do need very dark glasses when working with UV bulbs. even my little 13 watt CFL reptile bulb can leave me seeing spots.

May I ask what you use for reflectors and connectors when you build your own? I also prefer T5s.
