Just installed 2x 260w xl kits in the 4x4 Monday. The lights work great. But The plants have not taken to them at all.......major yellowing from the top down. Leaf taco going on as well. Ive got the lights pretty much as high as I can go. 22”.....Going to get a killawatt meter tomorrow so I can dim them.

Anybody else have any issue with their plants adjusting to the QB’s ??

Give them more nutrients I throw clones under 750w in a 4x4 24ish inches away full strength nutes and don't have yellowing. As they get bigger I move the lights to 12-16in still don't get yellowing

I growing in supersoil. You think the different light spectrum would change how much they take from the soil? I just transplanted them into bigger pots so lack of nutrients shouldn’t be an issue.

They were growing under different lighting before? If so they could take a little while to adjust. Dim down and let settle for a week, are other parameters the same from pre-quantum to now? i.e. temps, humidity etc. and if after a week you don't see improvement then I would have to agree with @Ryante55

Maybe need hotter soil? Unless your plants are crazy sensitive idk why I wouldn't get any bleaching when other people do. I run alot more watt per square foot than most so only thing I can think of is that I'm using more nutes. What lights were you running before?

Ya i burned the crap out of mine. It was like taco Tuesday in my grow room after an hour. Then I underestimated how many nutrients they would need. I'm currently giving my plants full strength Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom A and B and they're looking much better. step the lights up slowly. I'm running it about I'm running about 80 watts per Quantum board at 25 in.

They where under 100w closet case and some t5 in my veg tent. Basically same temp and humidity. I grow on sip containers. So they just went from a 2 gallon up to a 7 gallon. Soil mixed the same as always.

I also went from a 4” inlan fan to a 6” to manage the extra heat in the flower tent.

My last run I had 3 100 watt closet cases in my 4x4 tent. So the Qb’s are a big jump up.

I run mine at 12-18in from the canopy maxing out at 35w per sq ft. I don't max out until after stretch. I get healthy green growth to the bottom, they will take up nutrients more under the better light.

If you just put up the QBs at that stage you need to turn them way down until the plants adjust.

yo bro, you add calmag? this is a must with these lights. I find using soil/supersoil with added 1ml per 16 oz or 8ml per gallon helps tremendously.

I Foliar spray with cal-mag. But never feed with it. Sense the issue popped up I’ve topped dresses with worm casting, kelp meal and oyster shell meal. Added some Epson salt and Molasses too my water when I top feed.....also some mammoth P.

I just gave them some cal mag with their water at this point it doesn’t really matter.

Other then their sickening-colour they seem healthy.......I can already see roots popping out of the bottom of the air pots after 1 week....I’m just about to say fuck it and start over.

I also just dimmed the lights down a bit too. I couldn’t get a kill a watt monitor ( got one coming on Amazon) but when I turned the dimmer screw they where pretty much full blast so I turned them down about a 1/4 strength....I’m guessing.

if You put all your nutes in your soil you will be fine you shocked them with a ton more light then they are used to and need to adjust their nutrient take up. Raise your temperatures and make some teas to help nutrient cycling and dim for a week and they will bounce back. Then slowly raise the wattage just keep an eye or you’ll end up back where you started

Are those 3gal pots ?
They're 5s. I'm considering going to 10s but I worry about losing space in my tent. I have a few strains I need to get going so I want to be able to do 6-8 plants at a time in veg. I have a buddy who runs four 20 gallon pots in his 4x4 so I'm thinking I should be able to do 5-6 ten gallon pots?
