Closet Drip System

Hey everyone, this is my hydroponics drip system setup. I put 4 rock wool cubes along with the single drip stake just for show. The setup is pretty simple and I only intend on growing 4 plants.

On top, I have a plastic storage container which I fitted with drainage for the drip system to recycle back to the reservoir. I'm using 1 CFL to provide light to a couple of young seedlings and I plan on using CFLs for the entire grow. I'm aware I'll probably end up with fluffy, rather than fuller buds, but there's just no possible way to set up an HPS light in my closet and be able to ventilate the heat out.

I plan to build a separate space for flowering inside of a flowering box using a similar setup, but possibly a little lower to the ground to give more space for vertical growth.

Any suggestions?

Can someone recommend a good strain that doesn't have a very pungent odor?

thanks.

someday... i want an auto drip hydro system. that would be great but this is my first grow and experimenting. Very tight on money for my grow system as you can tell....

you can get rockwool cubes in many different sizes at any hydroponics store. You can get everything you need there pretty much. I got a handful of things at a hydro shop since it was more affordable there like the pump. Stuff like hoses and the drainage were cheaper at a hardware store by a few bucks. The whole thing cost less than $100.

The drip system will be running on timers, so it will be automatic.

i recomend using a filter, all cannabis stinks to some degree
I agree. As soon as I can afford to build one, I'll probably do that. But I just want to know which plant would maybe have less odor during vegetative growth at least.

man, that mr nice strain is pretty pricey. If everything goes well with my current grow I'll be more inclined to spending $150 on seeds. lol.

I mistakenly crushed one of my seedlings and it's stem was broken but not severed. I put a toothpick next to it to prop it up, but only a few hours after it SEEMS to have healed since it can stand alone now.

Will this affect it?

not at all. In fact, I don't have any nutes yet. I've been giving them just filtered water with a 5.5-6.0 pH, and been misting with club soda a few times a day.

I removed the toothpick now and it's been standing by itself. The stem is just a bit wavy now.
