Do you not see the 3 votes for root cubes? So as of the time of your post there were 2 different votes on the poll and multiple posts from different people with the way they prefer. For you to say it was just water makes you kinda dumb. Or blind. Or a troll. Which is it?
Is a root cube pre charged with food?

No this is a debate of weather or not to force feed very stressed new cuttings.

They don't fucking need food. Fuck off and be patient. Or don't, but post pics either way so we can say congrats or wag our fingers in shame lol

You miss understood me. I was talking about putting the clones in a cup of ONLY water. NO cube. Sorry for misunderstanding

No they arent precharged. But thats the point of the thread. Ive seen cloning in a cup of water to cubes with or without food. And there is no 1 right answer. I wanted opinions

I grow clones in a bubbler no grow medium. Takes about a week no food.
If I have to leave them in there for a few weeks IL put very very low dose of flower nutrients. To promote roots.

Don't buy into the snake oil. Dilute you own nutrients by 1/4 and bam, you have cloning solution.

Nitrogen promotes vertical growth and slows roots down.

And Ive seen lots of people say it's faster and more reliable than cubes or rockwool

Do your expirements but if you take a look around the information is already out there

DIY bubble cloner for the win.

Use clonex or some other cloning agent on fresh cuts.
Put it in tap water and wa la. In 7 to 10 days roots.

I have had 100% positive results doing it this way.(:
I use "Clone-TeK' in my bubbler and "Clonex" in my Pro-Mix. 100% results. But I clone very little. It's a hobby, calms my nerves. lolSAM_0185.JPG

I put my cut in "Clone-Tek" water until I am ready to clone. Then cut roughly a 45 on the stem and trim the big leaves and dip in "Clonex" and drop in a tray, cover with "Humidity Dome" and let simmer for 7-14 days.

You guys let your stem sit in the water?

or

just above so the bubbles wet them?
I usually start mine just barely touching the water so I get a bit more time before I have to top of the rez

I still havnt got the dome set up to work lost some strains after a bad session of mites took 32 clones and lost them all I regret not using my bubble cloner for a couple I didn't have seeds of

Do you use peat pucks or the sponges and if sponges do you pre soak them I think mine died because of the sponges being to dry

I use a Pro-Mix and CocoCoir mix for my seeds and clones. With clones dipped in Clonex, I don't necessarily have to use the dome. I mainly grow Heirloom strains from seed so I don't have much knowledge with clones.SAM_0117_1.JPG

When you clone in straight water, do you still make your 45 degree cut? Same question for pre soaking in a solution for a day or two prior to plugging
