Nobody seemed to have anything to say over there just looking to see if this would be good enough or if I need improvements

Well they look bout the same other than some yellowing on the lower leaves no signs of wilting so I guess they are tryin to take root.

I just started using this yesterday. One thing I am working on changing is I need more height so the clones can grow. IMO the best thing you can do for cloning is bottom heat, this comes from my days in High School Horticulture class. All our cuttings beds had heat cables to keep the plant warm and stimulate root growth. I also use a rooting stimulant, you can get powder or liquid. I bought this setup few years ago and use it to start my veggie seeds in the spring for my garden. So underneath the plastic tray where the clone is there is a heat pad that plugs in to electic outlet. I took this clone yesterday and so far no wilting. It does stay warm and moist inside the covered try, I will just keep an eye on it so I don't get any rot or mildew. I bought top tray and heat pad at Home depot for less then $30.00 total. it is made by Jiffy

That's what the black tray is they are sitting on a cut up jiffy tray turned upside down. With it being black I think it would absorb a lot of heat from the lights so I think it will keep them warm enough. Seems to be working. Goin on day 5 hopefully I will see progress in a few more days.

Looks like it should work just fine. Did you use any rooting powder or liquid? I picked up a small bottle of rooting powder at Lowes for a few bucks.. It helps develop new roots on cuttings.. I hope you let us know what day you start seeing roots coming out the peat pellets??

Yea I used some cheap rooting powder from Walmart. And will def keep up any new updates cause I'm sure I will need some help lol. First run at cloning hope it works out, it'll sure make things a whole lot simpler

These are from last night, no roots yet but I'm wondering if that is how a flowering clone looks after almost a week. Seems really yellow to me but not really wilting so idk. But day 6 and counting

looks yellow and wilting.. When I took my clones I tried to get a stem that was about 2 - 2.5 inches long and made sure the stem was semi hard as oppose to too new of growth that was soft, if that makes sense?
The other thing I do is keep a little water in the bottom to keep the peat pots moist but not overly wet and I have the heat pad on 24/7 to keep things warm to help speed up the rooting. below is a pic. of my set up. I took these clones off the mother plants on Tuesday this week.

I was wondering if I got em too short. They really haven't changed much as far as wilt goes that I can tell but that's just me and I also read that yellowing occurs when u take a flowering clone due to lack of nutes. Does that sound right or was I reading from somebody who doesn't know what they are talking about lol there is a lot of that on the web

If you're new to cloning, it probably wasn't the best idea to take cuttings from a flowering plant. Those clones are usually more finicky than cuttings from plants in veg, and they take longer to root...Not to mention you're gonna have to re-veg them, setting you back even longer...

I know I shoulda tried one in veg but all I had was flowering plants plus I already know they are female. Oh well hope they take off and work no better way to figure it out than just to try and really if they don't take I'm not really out too much and I'll just try earlier on the next run
