Clear Slime Floating in Res/Light Brown on Sides

Ok so im growing in a Wilma 8 pot system using the full line of Canna nutes including boost. I am also using advanced nutrients Carbo Load and some Silicon

Did a res change 2 days ago and left my drippers on last night...returned tonight to find thick gel like substance in the res which is clear....with some light brownish slime stuck to the walls of the res. Plants look really healthy no issues there. Just a bit concerned, will do a res dump tommorow and have double blocked all light to the res. Temps inside res seem cool although i dont have a themometer for the res to check.

The slime doesnt smell bad and is not thick...doesnt strike me as algae..does anyone have any thoughts as to what this could be? Also any issues that could arise?

Ive got same problem, (Clear slime with bubbles trapped inside, slime turns brown when put into light) Im leaning towards brown algae as the problem?

Hi there i had the same problem. A few questions first.

1.) Is there any paper or cardboard in your reservoir?
2.) Are you using bio organic nutrients?
3.) Is there any light entering the reservoir?
4.) Have you sterilized the reservoir after changing water?
5.) Do you have an air-stone?
6.) Are there any dead roots floating in the water?
7.) What medium are you using?

Oh BTW slime=bacteria

Did you dose your silicon correctly? Sometimes if you measure too much (tbsp instead of tsp) it can congeal.

res TEMP 18-23 C
room TEMP in Darkness 20-23 C
room TEMP when its sunny 28-30

Foliar feed silica,nitrozyme,and a foliar spray by house and garden

205l barrel (resivour) connected via ball valve to 40 l brain tank feeds 2 50l pots full of expanded clay and small amount of perlite for 10 mins every 3 hours but not durring sleep time.Has airstones in brain, resivour and pots , plus extra pump circulating in brain.

1)No carboard or paper
2)No not organic just canna a and b( basic)
3)Problem is in the 205l barrel with lid(Main resivore ) .It has a small vee cut out for air hose I dont think light can get in but on next flush I will get in the tank and check it out.
4( I do sterlize regulary using Oxy plus (Hydrenperoxide). Run it Fairly stong while i bubble off the chorline (using Tap water EC 0.2 / PH 7).
5) Plenty bubbles in brain ,barrel, and bottom of pots, Wonder if this is Algae why is it trapping air?
6)There are no roots or organic material in barrel.doesnt appear to be any in the brain either besides the slime.
7)expanded clay balls with a little perlite, flushed threw untill stable PH was reached before planting

I have made a new barrell up just with the canna nutes and super thrive as I too though it mite be the silica , checked it this morning and the slimes back.The oxy plus does seem to kill it but dont really want to add every 2 days or so. I worried if start using Bio Bugs of some sort threy will block my ball valve like they have in the past.I have a 1000 litre tank I wish to use I figure 1000 litres would cover my whole bloom.My Question is how do u keep this 1000l happy and healthy for 8 weeks with out costing mre too much.

It looks to be cyanabacteria, need to geed some good bugs!
