There was a short period in my youth when we rolled pipe tabacco in zig zags but that sucked so we got jobs, I don't think they had the tubes back then. After that always paid cash until they hit amost $6 a pack and then I got chantix and now am free. Marlboro reds box since 6th grade!

I started smoking those little cigars, I like the Bucks vanilla, but they are to find in my area.

My lungs feel better and I smoke less.

They only cost a 1.50

J(diamond)B rolling machine ($2.50 to $5.00), American spirit. I can roll a proper smoke without but these little bastards let me roll a perfect one in a jiffy. That way, when I light it and the core is pure weed, people don't automatically focus on me. Been fooling people since the 80's. Suckers.

Awesome. When you say 'the core', do you mean you somehow structure the weed so it sits surrounded by tobacco in the finished cig, or that your blend is more mj than tobacco? I want to learn your ways...

The paper is a critical factor to a good smoke. American Spirit has pretty good paper. Most tubes are shitty.

Oh, stick to the name brand roller. all others roll a smoke a full mm bigger in diameter than normal (no bueno). I hear there is one big factory in China that makes them all - 'cept the JB.

Fuck dude, we should quit.

I was getting those cheap cartons in Premiere Gold tubes, but the shop said they sucked so badly for the machine that they're charging extra if I wanted to keep using them. They sent me a few cigs in these Gambler Red tubes, and I couldn't tell the difference. The shop said they a good quality tubes, and I haven't messed one up on the machine yet. So far, so good. I'm going to experiment by putting in a little tobacco, then a layer of weed, then another layer of tobacco to see how the machine does with that. I'll post the results...

For some reason, all of the tutorials' instructors have a Southern accent. This guy's wasn't so bad...

The shank that comes out at about 1:40 in is fucking sharp! It is dangerously close to his thumb. Exciting...

Empty one out and burn it. How much ash? A good paper should go out when you aren't pulling on it. I can smoke a single cigarette for about four hours. I am suspect of most terbackies. Started on Drum (thanks, boy scouts) but they messed with the bland and cut in a way that I did not care for some time back.

As a kid, I called the loaded ones IJ's for indoor joints. Now the though of that is laughable. Smoking tombacco indoors? Lol. This one time at a Metro show in the 80's, I was passing a heavily laden "cigarette" to a friend (Jesus, the Metro used to have tables on the main floor - tables! Lol agin) when it got yoinked up by some steroid freak bouncer. I did the right think and was indignant and angry. He explained that he smelled pot and was looking for the smoker(s) and took a heavy drag. "Well?" I asked (nonchalant being the smart play after the explanation).

"If it were weed I would have held it in longer" he replied as he handed it back to me.

I upped the ante, threw it on the ground and said "I don't want it now" then I pulled out another identical IJ, lit it, took a drag and passed it to the left.

It may have been the point when my 'coolness' peaked. I think it was a Cure show. '84? Mmm, that was some good Cure. To be fair, it was all brick weed in '84. There may have been Percocette involved but my hair wasn't all "poofie". It just doesn't do that. Spikey probably. Tenex. Like John Lydon.

Wow. I saw the first part... 12 bucks??? I guess being in via where tobacco is the main cash crop has its advantages. I can get my favorite smokes (Nat Sherman's) for less than 8. And Marlboro for 4. But yeah, rolled smokes are amazing, with the right stuff, and fairly inexpensive here

I found a couple tobacco shops that I really like. The smell when you walk in is amazing. all different flavors, I think it was a little pricey around here we have "pipe tobacco" same thing pretty much some tax loophole.
I shop in a local suburban store for my cigarettes. It's a roll your own/headshop, but they use a loophole to roll them for you without the taxes: you order them from their main shop by telephone, and you have to be referred by a known customer to do this. You state how many cartons you desire along with the tubes and tobacco you prefer (they blend natural tobacco to taste like your favorite popular brand), and in two days they deliver them to the shop closest to you. When you go in, you tell them that you have a carton(s) for pick up and you pay in the store, but they bring you out to their car to give you your cigarettes. It's like a shady drug deal, I love it. Their price? $35 per carton! That's $3.50 per pack, as opposed to $12 here in Chicago. In fact, I was thinking about quitting 'til I found this place. How can I quit now when smoking is so affordable? I think this place may be the death of me. Anyway, I sometimes forget to order before I run out, so I'm usually stuck taking out a loan to buy a couple full price packs. When I ran out this time, I thought I'd invest in a cigarette machine from them to be able to make my own when I find myself without. I purchased this from them for $50 -

I sat down last night while baked, grabbed my preferred tobacco and tubes I also purchased, and watched a YT video on how it's done. It's actually kinda fun, and I finished doing a carton before my playlist ran out. It's impressive how nicely they come out, I like to pack mine extra full and firm. Doing it this way, it only comes out to $1.90 a pack. I won't do this on the regular because I'm lazy, but it's nice to have in a pinch. You guys ever roll your own?
Don't tell anybody about that store.

Nat Sherman's are the finest cigs in the WORLD. They're like smokable candy. I used to buy them all the time, my favs were MCDs. I loved traveling to Richmond, great town and you can smoke in the restaurant, bars, chuck e. cheeze, even the airport! I got laid in that town more often than not. Hmmm, time for another visit...

It's funny that you say that. They incentivize you to refer people with a $20 credit, but I've been hesitant because I thought it may close if some whistle-blowers caught wind. If that happened, I'd roll mine own for sure. Probably get a top of the line electric roller because I'm lazy...
