Christians want to let adults freely prey on little children sexually

and can you please tell the audience how this happens?..what they do to atone?
They acknowledge their sin to God, ask for forgiveness and some cases do repentant acts.

This forces them to be introspective about their life and their actions.

Although I know no one (or no God) is on the other end, I pray often. I reflect on my day to see what I did wrong and if I can improve on it.

Any atheist can do this, but those of faith are much more strongly encouraged to do so by their faith, or religious practices.

There have been countless double blind studies showing that prayer is impotent, it doesn't help outcomes.

When it isn't double blind it is either beneficial or detrimental.

Some folks lose heart when they hear that they might be bad off enough to have others pray for them.

Another group of people believe that the prayer works and puts God on their side.

Also, prayer predates christianity. Man has always felt a spiritual benefit to prayer.

All of the AA groups focus on prayer, a lot of it is spiritual, non theistic prayer. They might be praying to a tree or a dog. It's a way to remove your burdens.

Try it, if you can do so genuinely, it will make you feel better.

That makes absolutely no sense at all...

Why pray to something you believe has no power to help you?

Meditation makes more sense...

I guess what I was saying, in a nut shell, is that prayer is a form of meditation. Self reflection.

The difference between meditation and prayer is that in prayer you are PRAYING TO something you believe in.

I think most people are agnostic which means they are not sure.

Cant take too many people seriously that say they are atheists.

Most of the active people that say they are atheists are actually radical intolerant anti-religion bigots. If these people dont believe in God why do they have such a big chip on their shoulder to be protected from him/her/them.

I suppose a person who has a history of practicing theistic Christianity will have some perplexing habits (to the view of others) when he crosses into atheistic Christianity.

I wouldn't call myself agnostic for this reason. I was for a while, and in that time I dared not admit it.

Coming from a theistic Christian background, speaking on any doubt of God is blasphemy and a one way ticket to hell.

One in my position has to be quite comfortable with the concept that the whole God thing is made up.

Sure, the whole christianity god thing might be made up.

But do you believe in a spiritual god or do you ever wonder. You see, if you ever wonder then you are agnostic. Atheist is 100% sure that there is no god, nowhere, nohow. I just think a lot of serious agnostics claim atheism more for political or identification purposes rather than being 100% Atheist.

Being Atheist and being Anti-Christian are two different things. The people trying to get religious symbols removed and want prayer removed, etc are typically anti-christian/anti-religion. Atheists simply would not care.

i was wondering the other day why folk need to adopt a certain position when speaking to god

kneel down put hands together etc
from this type of body language prying seems like an act of surrender / worship / begging / it is submissive

i would not want to communicate under these conditions

i know that some folk with broken limbs in wheelchairs find it offensive if folk bend over to talk to them

people on their knees praying should be tipped over like a cow in a field or something , perhaps this might wake them up

Bullshit.

Athiests are naturally anti-theistic because religion has demonstrably killed more people that anything else in the history of this planet.

They're also opposed to a non secular society, because a secular society doesn't stop you having your beliefs, we just don't want to hear about them.

And for the record, most of the time its people from DIFFERENT RELIGIONS who want the crosses taken down, or they want a selection of symbols instead of just a cross, so its not the atheists like you try pin it on.

Either way Jesus, Noah, Mohammed and Buddha can suck my dick, I'd go back in time and rape them all in the ear if I could.

Try magically heal that shit, bitch.

messing with the foreskin in this religious way is a form of sexual deviancy / mutilation / sacrifice

that be some strange shit , might as well burn some goats drink some blood

in order to test Abrahams obedience he was asked to kill his own son
god changed his mind and decided to ask for the foreskin instead

why could god not of just sent Abraham down the shop for some knick-knacks or bric a brac
and see weather he tried to pocket the change or something , but no, he has to take the dudes foreskin
sorry this is just unacceptable

i feel sorry for the dudes that have had to suffer the same "practical rape" as Abraham
this very day (mostly in America and Africa) Europe and most of the world has predominately abolished this bizarre practice

i'm sure if these victims were given the "choice" as adults most of them would decide to keep their cocks intact

poor fellows

Meditation is a form of prayer. Same process, same effect.
Meditation is a way of directly influencing the processes in the brain.

Prayer is hoping SkyDaddy can hear you and will help you.

Let me ask you something, why does a "perfect being" demand worship?

Worship implies ego which is imperfect and a human construct.

Greed and hunger for power is the chief "bringer of death", not religion. Religion is just a tool to control the masses. Example: Islam is not about God, it's about a long dead megalomaniac known as Mohammad and his successors.
