Choosing my first strain

I recently (3 weeks ago) decided to pull all the seeds out of the street swag i used to get and to try and grow them just to see what would happen (why not) hell maybe its a half decent strain its just pressed and not taken good care of by the time you get if off of the guy on the corner. As of now i have 12 plants all only a few inches tall im trying to keep as many as possible until i can figure out their gender then ditch the males. Anyways, if this project goes well i may try again and invest a bit more into it (better lights, custom soil, ect.) Is their a specific strain that has a decent yield, a good high or stoned, but is not too difficult to grow indoors (closet)? Also where would be the best place to get them sent to my address (in New York)? I would appreciate any advice!

Your best bet would be to find a friend with beans to get at. Most strains will work with a closet grow, stay away from a sativa dominant strain though. They will get tall and require a lot more space. Its great that you're using shwagg beans for a first grow but it won't compare to when you get good genetics, a lot of variables in the mix. Keep reading and learn from other peoples mistakes, there are a lot on here fortunately.

alright sounds good, yea i've definitely been on this site numerous times in the past few weeks to read up on what im doing right and wrong. Thanks for the advice, if i don't have a friend is their a preferred web site that is recommended in this community? I feel that nirvana is the best bet if i had to go this route?

Nirvana a good bet mate, also attitude seedbank is really good too. Absolutely huge selection. And it is refreshing to hear that you are using bagseed for your first grow. Will help you understand how to grow, then when you do spend money on decent beans you should have some success, thats is the way to go. May i suggest northern lights? Easy to grow in a closet, decent smoke and also reasonably low odor, what more could you want? Best of luck mate.

don't think you will find the preferred seed site, attitude, seed boutique, nirvana are much used, and seem to usually provide good service
i'm in ny myself, and did 4 orders this year, 2 from seed boutique and 2 from highgrade-seeds(a smaller canadian breeder) - all orders came through

Invest in good lights now the lights you want are h.p.s the lights will pay you back a thousand times over.It is a waste of time growing under cfl's of flouresents unless you are just getting seedlings going or clones for the first 2 week.Make sure that you get a good exaust fan that can get the hot air out of the grow room and keep temps bang on.Belive me it is not worth the risk dude if you are gonna grow do it right from the start.

check out pick n mix seeds, they sell single seeds. So you can get 5 differant strains for same money as a normal 5 pack, and they're femanised.
I also just saw a good deal on attitude were you buy any pack of seeds and recieve a G13 pinapple express.

White widow/Trainwreck have always been good plants to me the genetics seem to be stable so they don't hermi easy so i would go with these two strains.Go for the greenhouse indica mix with Trainwreck/Lemon skunk/The cheese/White rhino/Great white shark and also the black and white mix pack 2 whitewidow and 2 white rhino these all these strains will last you time just keep cloneing them and get them under a couple of flouresents 2 warm daylight spec and 2 warm daylight spec also add a couple of cfls on the walls 1 warm 1 cool[daylight] on each side this will be the room to keep the next batch till the flowering grow is done.If you grow this way then you should have a crop every 8 week.Order of attitude seeds and you will get a free hash plant i have one on the go now fast flowering 7 week and she looks the buiss good freebie.But if you are gonna order of greenhouse then it may be worth ordering both of attitude this way you will recive a couple more fem freebies.

Beg to differ on that one. Trainwreck is known to be a strain that does turn hermie, there is quite a few posts on here about it. If you want to grow trainwreck you will have to be extra vigilant in watching for those tell tale balls.
