China declares the war is on, and troops deployed to Mexican border

Let me guess. You are trying to pretend I said something I did not say?
Why else say it? What reason would there be to shoot someone with a visa?

What was meant exactly by the comment then?

Not sure why anyone would shoot someone holding a visa or even talk about it.

I was in the military. I would refuse an order to shoot even an unarmed illegal crossing the border let alone someone with legal status.

I guess they could shoot a visa holder. In my eyes it would be illegal the same way it should be for cops to shoot unarmed people or children to be put in jail without a trial.

National guard has a history of shooting unarmed people. Mind you so does the United states military. My Lai massacre for eg.

You don't need to muddy the waters with war crimes committed by rogue troops. I personally have no frame of reference that would let me either condemn or apologize for this type of war crime. It's occurred in virtually every war in human history.

But the national guard is unique because it's largely made up of part time soldiers who are frequently given orders they don't have enough experience to question, nor enough training under stress to control their emotions.

It has led to massacres at kent state most recently, but they date back to the labor movements in the 1800's.

Here is a good primer on what can happen when political interests take a priority over the rule of law.

Nah.

It was the way it was said. I'm sure you are aware that sometimes mean exactly what they mean and sometimes they mean more.

Sometimes its intentional and sometimes its a slip up.

You mean you literally meant the completely obivious dumbass statement visas don't stop bullets?

No shit Sherlock.

How is stating a visa stops bullets not a dumbass statement and reminding that it won’t is?
