Chilled Growcraft or HLG QB

Hey y'all, long time lurker looking for some help. I have finally decided to start a small 2x4 closet grow. I have looked at a lot of leds and these 2 really shined through (get it lol). I know growcraft is fairly new but any info would help. I would really like to start the grow off right and get the best lights possible from the start. I was looking at their ~300W diy kits and the prices seem to be close. other suggestions welcomed.

Oh they do if you got with the pre built but don’t if you go with the DIY.

stupid imo
Agreed. I mean I guess it's smart because if someone were to Fuck something up while building it, they don't wanna be throw-in out money or replacements. But I think you should be able to at least get SOMETHING. Some kind of safety net.

Just my opinion, but the growcraft doesnt do anything for me. It's just another bar light... I'd 100% rather pick up 2 Meijus, like @bk78 just got in the mail, for the same price or less even than a single grow craft .

100% man. I just covered a 4x8 for the same price as a 4x4 if I went that route. I’ve ran Meijiu for almost 2 years now and have great results

is bava and kingbrite the same as Meijiu? only switch layout and knobs look different to me. also are the ones with uv worth the extra cost?

Kingbrite and meiju are known vendors-plenty of good results posted using their fixtures.
Bava is an unknown.

Well, there are actually a FEW threads on here of people using them. Not sure what the general consensus is though.
They sure as fuck came through with custom making 15 pin heatsinks for me. 3 different dimensions. Shipped in a few days and shipping was VERY FAIR.

Hmm thank you for the ongoing help, as I am still looking around. Leaning towards bar style leds instead of logic boards. While browsing I found this for a 2x4 tent:

Let me know what you think or if there's a better option. Seeing as the price difference with shipping is $60 between that and the growcraft, I may go towards the growcraft just because its made in usa thus I would be supporting my country during a fairly shitty time instead of supporting china. Not sure if thats a good enough reason though..

Thank you again for the input!

Those lights you linked would do great in a 2x4

Diy yourself? Strips or quantum boards would be affordable and easy

Be aware grow craft kits have no warranty whatsoever.
Hi there! Unfortunately due to the DIY nature of the kits we cannot "guarantee" a warranty, but I will tell you that we work with our customers on a case by case basis and if something prematurely fails or arrives faulty and is clearly NOT the result of user error we will do everything we can to make things right. -Austin

Very cool. Just want to let people know what the rules are if they go that route.
