Day 7 Veg - New Lights arrived! Moved them into tent. Light cycle change from 20/4 to 18/6. LED on veg mode.



That's all for today. I'm off to the hydro store for some supplies and to transfer them into larger pots.

Received a free bottle amino aid from hydro store owner. After opening it up, it looks just like molasses. But let's give it a try anyways.


Nutrients - 5ml amino aide 5ml molasses 30ml big bloom



Debating on whether I should top the left plant. I'm really liking how the right has responded to the topping.

Day 17 veg - 31 days from sprout

Early pre-flowers have begun to show. Looks like left is female, right is male. Sad the topped/trained one on the right was doing very well. Going to let it go another day or so to confirm it is male.

Sorry I haven't updated, here's quick rundown of everything so far.

Killed the male and pulled bunch of clones off the girl. Here she is after giving birth.


1 week later, clones showed roots. 2 went into soil, the others went off to the bubble cloner. Also sprouted a white gold seed. Mother has recovered beautifully and now im flipping it to 12/12.

How so?

I would say fire that led up to full blast

or lolly pop that mum more

Some of the lower growth looks a bit lazy like it wants a bit more light or air but its got some very large fan leaves for its height and size they`ll be making loads of sugar but the lower branches probably are not getting much light or air ?

you know I`m starting to think hps to veg my indica doms to get them to stretch a bit more before flower

going to revamp my set up soon thinking my 1000w hps I`ll crank it to 600w and use it for veg and move my leds/induction into the new bigger bloom area we`re making even with the leds and a 1000w and 600w hps the c99`s where getting tall but indicas were staying low

Think a hps veg will get me fatter stems to support the buds too and help them drink a bit more while there still small but in big`ish pots, cool blue veg used to work fine for us but now our buds are so heavy I`m thinking I need fatter stems on the sativas and the indicas need to get tall early in veg for me and the sativa`s need fatter stems maybe topping a few more times, think a hps veg maybe with a 300w led panel on the side will fix my issues

I just raised the lights a bit too to help her stretch a little.

The nodes are starting to make their way through the thick foliage.

The longer night cycle will help as well.

Cold nights like 16c and over 26c in the day helps get some stretch, if theres more than 10c between day and night that seems to help them stretch

evoponic sell a product called "evoponic elixir steroids" that stuff is great for making plants grow up, can speed up veg from the 2 leaf stage, can make your buds longer and help plants recover from shock too

I suspect its a low dosage of ga3 along with b vits and some other pgh sugar and amino but no way to know for sure

Then I like seaweed extract or triacontanol for making them bushy and more hairy buds but if you use it during veg you can pretty much top without cutting the plant, if you cut it too you get a crazy amount of busing and bud sites

Any updates man? I'm grabbing that same exact light by tasty so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread!

Here's the big girl. I'm amazed at how fast she's progressing. Only recently flipped to 12/12 and she's already taking off. Flower tops are beginning to burst their way passed the fans. Everything is going straight up, very little stretch. The leaves on this thing are monsters. Very healthy girl. lush green, no burns, green stems. All is good! Here we go! Flowering time.

You could also try using 730nm far red leds. People have reported that they cause stretching when run during lights on. It tricks the plant into thinking it's in the shade or something like that. Might be a good trick if it works.

Heat has been very easy to maintain. The tent with lights on stays about 72-75F and 35-40% RH. My house is 70F 30RH.

It's no hotter than any other led or cfl setup I've used. The fan is a bit loud, it's a high speed fan though so it's expected. But it's directed airflow and a well cooled unit.
