Cherry Bomb, Blackberry, and Critical Kush (250w COB LED)

Hey everyone! Long time no see. I've got 4 beautiful gals about a month into flower at this point. I decided to experiment a bit more this time around with the aeration of my soil. I have 2 pots with my standard FFOF and another 2 pots filled with FFOF and about 40% perlite as per some recommendations. I've noticed no difference in the health of my plants except that now I have to water them more, which I am not liking very much at the moment.

I also experimented with veg time to see if an extra round of topping and an added 4 weeks would be an increase in yield worth the time spent vegging and training. This is obviously not a controlled or scientific experiment so please do not take my word as law. It's important to note that I am using a 250w COB LED from Go Green LED's. While I love this light and it has given me amazing yields, it still lacks the wattage to get some serious penetration into my canopy. As a result, I only get worthwhile buds (in my opinion) on the top 18" of the plants and I also stagger my harvests to get the lower buds a bit more plump.

My last grow with this exact same setup, minus the slight experimentation, yielded about half a pound. I am hoping to achieve 8-9oz this time. I feel like I may be around the max yield I can achieve for my setup.

Pictures will be coming in later today or tomorrow. Thank you guys for checking in!

Here is my tent 1 month into flower

Front left is critical kush from barneys farm. This got 7 weeks of veg and was topped twice. It's a total bush and It's the first indica dominant plant I've ever grown.

On the front right side we've got cherry bomb by bomb seeds. Also 7 weeks of veg and topped twice. It started flowering so quickly after the flip.

Finally we have blackberry by nirvana in the back on the right. This is my tallest plant. 4 week veg and topped once. It's flowering the slowest but I think it's just because it's a longer flower period. I have no expectations for this plant so maybe it will surprise me.

I will post another update in 3 weeks or so as we get closer to chop. Thanks for checking in everyone!

Im betting on your Barneys Farm Critical Kush being your biggest yielder......
By a country mile!
The cut from seed we had running was as tight and greasey as feck.
Good luck with your grow

@Moflow I too am thinking this will be my biggest yielder, not only because its veg was much longer, but also because it is an indica. I have only previously grown sativas because dealers only sold indicas and I wanted the daylight high. I think I have a strange pheno of it though. I was under the impression that it would be around an 8-9 week flower but it is flowering slower than everything else in my tent. Regardless, as short and bushy as it is I am hoping for a big bushel of yum.

I do not really "clean up" my plants at the bottom in the sense that I do not lollypop them. I cut a good number of the smaller branches at the very bottom that I knew would never amount to anything because it makes watering a bit easier from opening up that space but I leave most of my plants in tact. I always do a staggered harvest to turn my popcorn into damn fine buds and I've found that the two weeks or so you keep the popcorn going is worth the wait to put new plants in the tent. I end up with so much trim as it is that I really try to milk my plant for all the quality flower I can.

I ran it anywhere from 9 to 11 weeks under HPS depending on getting a window of opportunity to chop it lol
Under cobs I chopped it around 8 weeks.
I've the height under the hps to get plants tall - one plant per light.
In the cob area I only do one or two, normally one, and I keep it/ them very short and very wide . From soil to top of plant 2 ft ish over a 3.5ft x 3.5ft area this time.
I find "A stitch in time saves nine" getting rid of the sub branches that produce eff all at end of Grow.
Good luck on your grow.

Thanks for the pics, I am on my first grow (blackberry) under a COB setup. About to flip to 12/12 but it is super short and bushy, looks like she will be getting much taller.

feel free to message me if you have any questions! Get ready for it to triple in height so the sooner you flower it the better
May take you up on that. I just gave it an extra week of veg, may not have been the best idea after seeing this! :dunce:
I only have 1 plant in the 3x3 though so hopefully wont be an issue.

Here are some updated pics! I anticipate 2-3 more weeks for the blackberry and cherry bomb and maybe 4 more weeks for the critical kush. It really is a slow flowering pheno for me!View attachment 3825120View attachment 3825121 This is a closeup of one of my cherry bomb colas! These will be my quickest finishers.

I love the Cherry Bomb! One of my phenos smells exactly like strawberry yogurt! I have one pheno that looks like yours, stayed short after the flip and very branchy. All 3 phenos were excellent. Their Bubble bomb is dank as hell too!

Cut down a few slightly over-ripe cherry bomb tops from one of my gals. The rest are still going strong with lots of white pistils but this cherry bomb quickly finished up and I accidentally let it get to about 30% amber on the trics

Chopped down my blackberry tops last night at about 12 weeks flower. It took patience but I'm happiest with this plant so far.

The critical kush is still going and I'm anticipating it to go to 13-14 weeks. I'm not going to be growing critical kush out again. The nugs just aren't big enough for this wait time. I'm hoping they taste amazing. The cherry bomb is on week 3 of curing and damn does it taste good.

Very nice! My Blackberry did not stretch much but the buds are starting to looking nice so I am not too worried. Glad to see what they could become, look pretty tight!
