Cheese seeds vs Skunk #1 Seeds

No more eliptical coments, I'll just ask. I'm trying to get some thoughts about this from a breeding point of view. How much different would a skunk cross be from a cheese cross? Is it worth it to pay for the "cheese" label?

origional cheese is just a really good phenotype of skunk#1, therefore only available in clone form. however Big Budha got a clone and crossed it with an afgani male and then back with the original cheese (5 times or something like that...) to get a stabe seed with the cheese properties. i have grown bb cheese and was very impressed however a friend of mine grew skunk#1 and that plant was even better...... maybe start with the skunk#1 and you might have an amazin pheno like the UK hippies had when they found cheese! however you won't be dissapointed with the BB cheese its a great plant to grow/smoke, the genetics will all be there so just find a good mother of either and cross away! (if you go for the skunk#1 get it from a reputable breeder tho...)

Thanks for addressing my points. Skunk #1 is still a great strain, it just doesn't have the current status that cheese does. :bigjoint:

Thanks for the info on the genetics. :peace::blsmoke:

yeah i guess, but in essance they are the same strain (if you get the origional) save your cash skunk#1 is a great plant to grow i have grown both and know, the skunk#1 i had yielded much higher than my BB chesse grows (has to be taken into account the skunk was hydro and cheese was in soil though)

p.s both strains smell and smoke great! if your bothered about selling it just say it cheese, most of the people buying can't tell the difference between rag and grade anyway as if they would tell the difference betweeen skunk and cheese! lol

word grade...point is skunk is still the shit! I was a grower about 15 years ago and it's funny...even then skunk was old news. I'm waiting for Northern Lights to pop a new strain..."he found the one, the dankest of the dank in a bag o' NL. we'll call it (big bud, fruitylisious, dankenstien, your choice here)."

Weed inherently has these great genes, the "classic" strains have all the genes of these modern superweeds.
since I started playing with weed again lately, I was lucky enough to find 12 seeds at the stalk (most likley an early male, NOT a hermie) of a 1 once WW main bud and one seed of some extreme sativa (it had dense but thin, 6 to 8inch buds). I live in Texas so there is a strong likley hood it was Mexi (was only $50/oz). The Mexi(?) was dubbed "laffy taffy" by a friend from up north near the great white north.

These are my current genetics and soon I'll have pics. One plant has been going 9 weeks in flower and it was covered with "frost" within 2 weeks of the 12/12. All the bud-letes are starting to look like icy green fingers toward the lights. Still looks like at least 2-3 weeks left. She smells like the widow.
