hey ya'all seems like i will be ordering one of tga's gear again after a long wait since i had my jillybean, 3d germinating now...and will be germinating my querkle after i order the cheese quake. i am currently a big fan of the cheese for some reason i am tryng to get out of that zone and have an open mind for other strains...cheese quake is probably one of the "not talk about" strains of tga's gear. i was actually kinda hoping that there is a strain crossed with grapes and cheese and to my surprise there is already a strain made by "coincidence" my fav breeder tga. i will be ordering a pack of it and run it outdoor the whole summer. anyone ever grown this strain? there are 2 phenos one on the cheese side and the other on the querkle side, question will both pheno smell and taste on the mix of both? from all tga's gear that i ordered i think i am more excited on this one. so for once lets give cheese quake a chance and set aside jilly bean, querkle, jack the ripper, 3d, vortex. and give this one a talk about.

Its still only past the seedling stage now... if it is a male i'll just breed it against a cutting of a female (i can read preflowers I think)

I'm doin the cheese quake too!! But I'm only 4 weeks from seed with mine mate, I'll get some pic's & a smoke report up as soon as I have some Bud's in flower. It's a pretty slow to grow plant in veg compared to other strains I've grown but I think thats down to the urkle in it's genes. Should be some nice smoke though, I chose to grow the CQ after reading the grow/smoke journal from TGA in issue #89 of WeedWorld mag'

wish i lived in an area that wasn't so humid... or had room to grow indoors. there are a lot of strains that i have to just avoid due to my grow conditions. Cheesequake looks pretty sweet though and maybe someday will be in my grow room. i am interested in a few of the lesser known strains myself. soma seeds reclining buddha, or G13 haze X reclining buddha... world of seeds strawberry blue,, sannie's killing fields and jackberry... and a killa queen X blue kronic

dude i live in a very humid area with a whooping 80% and wait till summer when it jacks that number up. i could probably grow any strain from where i am, which i have been residing for over a year now in a part of south east asia where i am bringing the trend of the strains

I've got cheesequake and querkle in flower right now. I might take some shots and post em up later. The querkle is doing amazing. Healthiest looking plant I have ever grown. The cheesequake on the other hand is a very finicky eater. I've had some trouble with it but it's still doing ok. The cheesequake (at least the 3 I have) smell extremely fruity. If you have ever grown sensi's NL#5xHaze it smells almost exactly the same with the fruity berry type aroma it gives off. Cheesequake looks like it is gonna put out some large colas. The querkle, while healthier seems to have much smaller flowers than the cheesequake. At least at this point. The CQ's have almost filled out with bud in the intrnodes where the querkle are not even close. Maybe tonight when the lights go on I will grab some shots so you can take a looksee.

thanks, bro will be waiting for you to post pics, and thanks for that info. i have not receive any emails from hempdepot regarding the cash i sent them. its only been 4 working days and it seems to take so long. how would you rate the querkle and cheesequake in temrs of being picky on nutes and easy, moderate or hard to grow. i am having a little bit of hard time dealing with a 2 of my jilly bean. one that i just cloned and killed the mother.

As you can see the cheesequake looks burned. That started off looking like Mag Def. And since I was never over 1200ppm I figured it must be so. I started supplementing a little epsom salt and it has just progressively gotten worse. Must be nute burn. Which means these are some very finicky eaters. The querkles are plugging away though. No signs of burn or deficiency even on the lowest leaves. A very hearty specimen. I'd say out of the two the querkle is the easier to grow. You can see how healthy they are just by the presentation of the leaves. They are praying to the light which is really what you want to strive to see. I couldn't be happier with the querkles.

Banditt- Nice ladies, are they all from seed? I ask because I have been trying to find some info on the cheesequake for sometime and was wondering if they grew well from seed using scrog. Did they grow pretty evenly? How much topping did you do before the screen? Sucools stuff seems to ALL carry a heavy fruity smell... I assume its got the space queen smell in it.. Let me know what you know bro! Peace

Hey, thanks for the compliment. Yes this grow is from seed. I had 4x of each querkle and cheesequake. 1 CQ ended up being a male and 2 querkles as well. Hence the open spots in the screen. I had nothing to replace the males with so the spots remain open. They grew very uniform. I only topped once after the 3rd node of leaves. After that I just let them do their thing. As for smelling like space queen. I'm not sure, I am assuming there is some similarity as SQ is in the lineage. I've grown one other subcool strain and that was JTR. Neither of these smell anything like JTR. The CQ is extremely fruity berry smell and the querkle is more of just a dank smell at the moment. I'm not really pickng up a fruity scent from it at this point. The querkle and jtr are very similar in structure though. The buds on these querkles are growing almost exactly like my jtr did. The CQ is a little more leafy with larger colas at this point.

This was my first time doing scrog as well as my first time using flood and drain tables. I am a big fan of both now. I can see myself using this method for some time. It's very easy to create an even canopy and fill in the canopy as well with the screen in place. The flood and drain tables are amazing compared to the DWC system I was running previously. No root issues. Extremely stable ph and maintenance is much faster/easier.

nice plant bro...im just plain envy right now wih your flowering. did your querkle and cheese quake change its leaves already? i have 5 querkle that will be germinate in a week hopefully i get males to pollinate and get seeds. does the CQ gives out a little chunky cheese on the side which is i am looking for the mixture of the musty grape cheese smell and flavor
