Checkin on plants during Night Cycle??

Ive just started my first aero grow and last night switched them to 12/12. My question is how do you check on your plants when lights are out without effecting them? ive heard about green lights but not sure if theres a special type. Ive had some problems with sprayers poping out or little stuff like that and now im paranoid and think i need to check every 3 or 4 hrs just for mind reasurance... thanks alot for your time...!

I would leave them alone to sleep until is time for them to wake end of.. Do you like being woken in the nite ? I would guess not. Just leave them until their wakey wakey time then take a look.

Fight the temptation. You made it this far without killing it. It won't die in 12 hours , nothings going on in there, it's just dark. Good luck

I need go in occasionally when it's dark. I just use an LED flashlight. It's not very bright, and it's never caused any problem.
I think people are overly sensitive about this. I mean, all of the different plants out in the wild don't go crazy whenever a car drives by and shines headlights on them at night. I turn my porch light on all the time and the flowers in my front yard don't change their natural cycles because of it. Is marijuana that different form other plants?
Anyway, I haven't seen any effects from moderate use of a small light.

I have a special app on my iPhone that's called flash light. I turn the color to green and I check my plant. Plants turn green because they absorb red and blue light and the result is green that's reflected back. This thread shows who knows about plants and who's just trying to get their post count up."don't wake plants up cause you wouldn't like to be disturbed while sleeping", what an idiot.

i check on my plants during their sleepy time almost everyday, i would not advise this unless you are patient. it adds a few weeks to your flowering stage.

I had a big light leak and my night period was during the day. Still ended up with some daannnkk. That's not to say I didn't possibly hurt my yield and they went 10 1/2 weeks 2 weeks longer than I ever had them go outside. On topic tho. I would try to avoid it. If ur setup isn't sufficient enough to hold itself together why are u using it? Revise it to where u don't have to check on it and ull rest much easier

if they obsorb red and blue to be green, what colors do they absorb to have red and purple leaves? (the same red and blue) You could add 1000 to your post count and u'd still be a dick.. .lmao

i have thought about that also, the moon is a bright light
moon light does not effect plants.... its a spectrum they don;t see

they don't absord red and blue to be green they reflect greenand absorb red and blue... red and purple leaves are either the strains genetics or your room is too cold

some plants are less effected by light than others its strain dependant
some hermi at the first sign of stress others take it and are fine its all about the genetics

tussel thanks, i was just being a smart ass. The red and purple leaves, I was referring to all plants in general.

Damn that didn't take long at all thanks for such fast responces. For the most part I won't be looking in there I think I got the bugs worked out, but just in case I need to go in I wanted to know what was safe. Thanks again!
