I got a little bored today and went to my warehouse for a few projects.
First, I've been wanting to make a carbon filter for quite awhile. I bought the carbon over a month ago. We have PVC Wellscreen regularly in stock at my warehouse. I used a piece of 3' wellscreen, panty hose, pet screen, 4 cable ties, 2 drains for ends, SS screws, elec tape, carbon, and about 30 minutes of work.
It looks legit!
Second, I wanted to make a 2nd heat vent system for my room out of 1in elbows and sch 40 PVC, I hope my concept works well, but I'll have to test it myself. Look in photo for better unserstanding.
I'm unsure if the 4-1inch openings(at elbows) will allow much hot air through my carbon filter and out a duct. I may use 1inch to 3inch reducer bushings to get more of the hot air up and out.
Third! I made the carbon filter for my second project. Came out really nice. I'll just put a photo up.
Let me know your thoughts on the PVC venting I made.
I'm installing it as close as possible to the roof.
