Never been charged or convicted of a crime before, squeaky clean record. I am a licensed caregiver and a patient.

I have a full time corporate job where I earn a decent living, if I am convicted of a felony I will be losing the licensing I need to keep my job.

What are my chances or first staying out of jail, and then getting the felony dropped to a misdemeanor?

Get a real lawyer, not an appointed one. Don't talk to ANYONE other than your lawyer. Work on a plea bargain or having charges dropped. If no criminal past, work for a differed sentence. Differed means if you follow through and stay out of trouble, the charge(s) become not guilty. Be aware that a "aggravated misdemeanor" even though having the word "misdemeanor" is considered a felony in terms of firearms and can cause background check issues. Any charge where you could of gotten two years or more, even if you did not, will screw you for firearms permits...unless you get a differed, then it never happened if you follow through.

First off why did you have 22 ozs? I think the maximum is 15 if you have 5 patients?

chances are you won't go to jail believe it or not but dirty harry is right don't do or talk to anyone with out a lawyer. they always work out pleas and stuff but if your legal possesion limit was say 15.. a good lawyer will have you only facing possession of 5 oz. but yeah chances are your not doing anything but probation and fines.
