I've been growing cannabis for 20 years and used to grow with 1000w HPS until I found CFLs. Granted nugs the size of my fist are no longer likely however I have seen the overall quality of my cannabis increase. I am getting "baby fist" size nugs and for a personal grow there is no better way.

You're wasting a lot of light there without reflectors on the backs of those lights. Tin foil works fine and I've seen ones made out of aluminum beer or pop cans that work really well too.

I've seen a lot of threads arguing the pros and cons of CFLs over HID and it still comes down to efficiency and ease of use for me. Much easier to hang one light with a shade over the plants than heavy, awkward banks of little bulbs that don't do near as good a job. I use fluoros to start small plants, clones and seedlings but they really take off when they get under the MH.

When you add up all the watts those puppies are using what is the total?

:peace:

Imo when photosynthesis is your weakest link, healthy plants in flower is a walk in the park at the cost of metabolism (and efficiency w/cfl's)

Look healthy! I'd start training or toping and bending to get that flat canopy. I stayed pretty flat and with three random colas it was still annoying trying to not burn the buds but keep them within 2in of the plants... just imo. But keep up the good work ! 336watts. Week 6 flower
