I have a grow box that 2x4x5 and I use 16 43w 2700k cfls . When I replace these lights I'm buying a 600 watt hid , it will only cost me a few dollars more.

6-100w cfl's would be great for veg. You would be beter off with a 400 or 600w hid with a cooltube set up. watt for watt the heat is the same.

those still need a balist and I bet the 250 puts off more heat then the 100w's I'm using. If you want that type of power hid is the beter way to go. is the light 50 or the whole setup? lol crap need to read the whole thing sorry. Again sorry never seen anything larger then 42w self balist. You still need to keep them very close to the plant. hid just has beter penatration per watt.

My hydro guy says with two plants going into flower every 30 day. At the end of 120 days you'll pull 1-2 oz per plant with bubbleponics. I've just started this set up so I'll let ya know at the end of the first 120 days. oh and by starting every 30 days you pull a harvest every month after the first 120 days. my dirt grows go start to finish 5 months and yeild a little over a oz per plant.

Same set up for me. But I use a 100w, 80W and a set of 4' tubes for veg and clone and a little 400w for flower.
