Cfl yield per plant? whats everybody getting these days

and if you are offended that's just crazy. I was only pointing out you were changing the subject in multiple threads.

how can anyone help when your questions are attached to a thread that isn't even on the same topic. Starting your own thread is a much better way to get people to see your questions.
Weird, because i asked how much yield to expect with my cfls on a thread about cfl yield? And most people posted pictures without giving specs or amounts. So I asked. Looks like you posting about me thread jacking is actually thread jacking. So good for you. Cheers.

you want to know your yield? Grow the plant and let us know.

first grow? Expect nothing so when you harvest every gram is awesome. Understand that there is a learning curve and everyone cant grow.

again if your first grow best luck but don't expect to fail. That was if you succeed you are going to be happy as shit. If you fail, well it was to be expected

not trying to offend you. Just my opinion from the couple dozen harvest I have pulled.

With the right set up...space n light configuration....cfls can give u plants that will stand up to plants grown under HID or LED...w cfls it's all about the space Ur trying to illuminate... light placement is key...I've had 600 watts of cfl in a 3x3 space n put out quarter pound+ plants...growing w cfls just requires some creativity/imagination n attention to detail...for a small space they're the way to go...I started w cfls then switched to LED n then switched back to cfls....the cfls gave me bigger yields....some nice looking grows in this thread...BIGGER420s got it goin on...by the way what's up BIGGER420?...u been ok bro?...it's Mr.Vega...hvnt been on here for a bit n forgot my password..tryin to get Sunni to help me fix it now so I can log back in....looks like uve had some monsters in the set up...Nice work

I had 320 watts of pure CFL power, power, power! I vegged two plants for four weeks and now in week 9 since the switch to 12/12. I harvested the lower branches of plant #1 and cane up with 24 grams of nugey goodness. Figuring the bottom branches were no more than half the plant, and that plant#1 is the smallest of the two, I'm looking at a good 100 grams. One plant a thick six inch cola, the other has nearly ten thick juicy inches of cola.

I grew BC Depot God Bud, and used Miracle Gro fertilizer. If the numbers are significantly off, I will update. Pictures on my journal. Seems the picture with the cola in the right hand corner might have dropped out, I don't fully understand how to post pictures.

I think this is a picture of the cola in week 8grow 133.JPG

Everything chopped, dried, and in the jar. 320 watts of CFL power! 4 weeks of vegging. 8 weeks with one and 10 weeks with the other, of flowering. The whole time I used a Miricle Gro knockoff that was 10-10-10. My grand total was... 116 grams! (4.09 ounces).

Because it was grown with CFLs, some of the buds are fluffy, but surprisingly half of the buds are rock hard.

I will give myself a B+ on this grow. Next time a little longer on the veg and maybe cut back on the N.

Since I grow only for myself, and I get by with a lot less bud than many- I won't be growing for a year or two. Thanks Rollitup for keeping me focused.

Hey Y'All,

CFL's are great, I agree. Check out my Diesel Auto. Seventy day's from seed to harvest. She's a very hard strain to grow, at least I found her to be. What a beauty though, lot's of purple late in flower, very fruity scent and just packed with crystal. Seeing that she was a Lowryder#2 x NYC Diesel, she only got to ten inches tall(a little over one ounce dried). Again, the breeder was Speed Seed's. I got a Nordic Jack(Northern Light x Jack Herer) photo on the go right now, three week's old and I intend on doing some major training on her just to see what kind of yield's I can get( topping at fifth node, than LST in a star shape). Also here's a picture of two main cola's I still have kicking around, two different Northern Light strain's.

What a bastard, shitty, snowy and bitter cold week. Come on summer!

Peace out for now.

Forgot to post here when I harvested way back in December and I'm loving seeing everyone elses cfl harvests in one spot so I figured I'd share too. Ended up with around an oz but no scale to know for certain, some of the buds were pretty fluffy so its hard to tell but I'm still enjoying the smoke now almost 2 months later. Had a total of 182 w running which I think was a little to hot for my fans to manage thus the fluffy buds but as you can tell they were pretty frosty, just wish I had a better camera for some micro shots. 112nelly.JPG112nelly_harvest.JPG
I did end up switching this cab to leds but I've missed the cfl set up so much that I'm getting it going again in another spot so hopefully in a few months I'll have more cfl yields to report on.
:peace:

All of these are looking fantastic.I'm starting my first grow soon. I'm a noob and i'm only waiting for my seeds. I just set up my 2x2x4 grow tent. I have a 180w led, I'm learning this might of been a bad idea but I'm seeing some good results from people who used ufo led and cfl in small tents.I also have 4 100w(23w) cfl In addition. I know I'll eventually find the right light. Seeing pictures of people using household cfls and getting good yields is exciting and reassures me better.

Does anyone have any ideas of how much I can expect to yield with 4 plants in a 2x2x4 with 180w(100w draw) ufo, and 4 100w(23w draw) cfls? 2 warm light 2 cool light. My soil and nutrients are foxfarms and temperature and humidity will be regulated well.

Should I use more cfls, or better ones? Or should I be ok? The mylar seems to reflect the light very well. So i'm up in the air about it.
you have plenty of light for that space, youll do just fine

Hey All,

My last plant yielded just under four ounces dried. A Northern Light Automatic grown in soil under 115 watts of multi spectrum CFL'S (3000K and 6500k ). Two additional 3000k 23 watt CFL'S on the sides(using adjustable light extenders ). I fed half strength after every second watering. I love automatics now. You can find short strains that produce large yields. I got a shit load of photo bean's, but for the winter I think I will concentrate on automatics.

Peace

This is fascinating to me…. I'm new to this and soaking up info like a sponge, but so much is contradictory. One guy I saw on a video made all kinds of scientific references to why MJ only uses two areas of the light spectrum -- 2200-2700 and 5500-6500 -- and that everything else is purely ineffective, the plants simply can't utilize anything in the 3000-4000 range. Obviously, that can't be the whole story or Sherman420's buds would not be as nice as they are.

I'm enjoying using small (23w - 42w) bulbs in my first grow, because I can mix up the spectrum keeping heavy on the 6500's for veg and heavy on the 2700's for flower, but having some of everything in the mix (kind of simulating full spectrum). Time will tell.

My best was last summer......
Little over 4 1/2 oz. from one East Coast Sour D that I got from a buddy.
I vegged it for 28 days and topped once.
MG moisture control soil with 40% MG Perlite MG all purpose nutes while vegging, and alternating/ mixing of Fox Farms nutes, Maxi Cal, and Rock Resinator during flower. with 1 tsp Molasses every other water or feed thrown in.
329w of mixed 5000k and 2700k CFL's including 3 2700k floods right above the canopy.
