I am almost there, in getting my lighting right. I just have a question in reference to actual wattages with cfl's. On the box it says 150 replacement wattage to equal 40 watts 2700k Another one says "40 replacement watts to equal 10 watts 2700k. So which 40 watt one do I need to get?
A) 150 = 40 watts 2700k OR B) 40 = 10 watts 2700k. I want to make sure I get the right ones since I have to get so many. Please help, thanks

ignore replacement wattage, it has no use in growing
actual wattage is the only number you want to use
the most cost effective cfls are the 26w(or so), walmart, home depot, etc. have them
the 40-42w cfl's are also quite popular, very close to 26w in effective cost
the larger bulbs are much more expensive, though some growers seem to like them

always go by actual watts , wether you get 6500k for veg or 2700k for flower . usally the 42 watters are more efficent (more lumens per watt). but remember if you buy a 42 watt it is only 42watts NOT its replacement wattage. so if you want a 300 watt setup you will need more that 2 of the "150 watt replacement". hope that helps.
