What's up rui it's been a while! I missed you guys.

I've been out of the scene since my last harvest and finally have a home of my own and an gearing up for a grow.

My plan is to use a L2xW1xH3(Feet) grow area. Run one or two small plants in a SCROG setup using 2-3.5 gal pots. This is a personal use grow.

Strain wise I'm thinking of running an India dom femenized plant. I'm leaning towards an OG plant so any suggestions on a good femenized OG breeder are appreciated.

I've only done soil grows so I naturally want to run that I just need help on controlling the runoff when I water. So suggestions on that also.

I will use pure blend pro veg and bloom for nutrients.

I also could use suggestions on a screen material. I will use 6 cfls and veg until 60% of the screen is full then switch to flower.

Let's get this thing going people! I will order and gather all material a week from today so I need help!

Went ahead and purchased my seeds.
I got one royal queen seeds=OG Kush
And one devil's harvest= Rolex OG.
Both are femenized. Tomorrow I will get most of the material. I've decided imma go soil. I haven't decided on nutrients or soil type yet :(

Thanks for all the replies and help! Lol well I'll be using this thread for a personal record I guess.

Well my box is done and ready to go. Just waiting on my seeds. I'm really excited to see how day I can pull some smoke from this lil setup.

I've been thinking of going nuteless and just using water the whole way through. Just to see what the results would be.

Am I a fool for this? Or should I go ahead and use the botanicare nutrients?

I'll watch yours if you watch mine...lol!
Have you chosen a soil?
I use a MG type soil, usually recycled from past grows and only feed nutes when I start to flower or if I have too.I also water only as much as needed and don't usually have much runoff.

I would use these GE Bright Stik's instead. The 60 watt replacement uses 10 watts!

http://m.homedepot.com/p/GE-60W-Equivalent-Daylight-General-Purpose-LED-Bright-Stik-light-bulb-3-Pack-LED10S3-5K-96/205783755

You can find the 60w replacements at Home Depot and the 100w replacements at SAMs club.

The caps on the 60w replacements come off pretty easy just break the three tabs. You'll find 6 led's under there. Two pins hold the LED board on there. I bent the pins slightly in opposite directions to hold the board in place.

They will not degrade over time like CFL and put off very very little heat. 10 watts of LED for each and they are $10 for a three pack

Here's a breakdown of the numbers:
GE bright stik 60 watt replacement outputs 760 lumens and uses 10 watts
= 76 lumens per watt

CFL Phillips 60 watt replacement outputs 810 lumens and uses 13 watts
= 62 lum per watt

With 6 CFL you'll have 372 lumens with 6 GE bright Stik's you'll have 456 lumens for the same watts(pretty sure that's with the cap/lense on, off would be even more)

I will definitely check yours out! And yes I have chosen soil. I'm using miracle grows new natures care organic soil. I'm gonna mix it with perlite. About 75% soil 25% perlite.

I considered allot of different lighting to use but wanted to go as cheap as possible and see how much quality I can pull from a cheap setup. I've already built the box so it's a little late for me to turn back.

I wish my seeds would come! My biggest problem now is which strain to run first. I think I may do the rqs og so I can get my system down and tuned in then pop the Rolex og in there and really get nice

Don't support GE.

They take our tax money as welfare then move the jobs overseas.

Cool....I've been wanting to try that new mg natures care organic too.
What are the n-p-k %?

My girlfriend went to our old house and I found a rare dankness-rare darkness seed. It's a regular seed so I will grow it out in a smaller pot in my grow box. I hope she's a female but if not I'm thinking of keeping him alive and doing a little quick cross of the rare darkness x OG.

Rare Darkness was germinated, planned and has popped is head above ground. Pics will come when she is developed and other seeds get here

My OG seeds did not make it. Had to get more resent but they were prompt with a response and eager to help so no worries there. But since the delay I'm wondering...if I take clones from this plant and stick them in there with the mother (12/12 schedule) would I be increasing or decreasing my yield?

Sweet lil grow man, def wanna see this thru! How many watts in cfl total? Are those 23w or 42w in the pic? Is this gunna be a closed box,4 walls or leaving that side open for only 3 walls?

As for your question, if you can create more budsites in your scrog canopy then you will be increasing yeild. The only thing is with plants in a small space at different parts of there life, resulting in different height and size, is that the older/larger plant may begin to cover and not allow light to the smaller plant. Obviously you will be keeping these short so that helps, so basically it will help increase yeild in the case that the mother isn't taking up all of that space before the clones can catch up to the even canopy.

I'm not familiar with clones though so i don't know the final answer because i don't know what that growth timeline looks like.

They are all 26w bulbs I'm running 6 of them. It's mostly a closed box but I leave it open from time to time. I'm most likely not gonna cut clones I just like to contemplate while things move along. The next question is nute or no nute? My original plan for the OGs was botanicare veg & bloom. Might just run water throughout and decide after harvest on the ogs. This will also determine if I should run both OGs or one. Stay posted. Peace.

My lil bush. Had to transplant she was starting to show signs of being rootbound and when I dug her up her roots were coming out the bottom of the cup! She was about a half a inch under the screen and I decided to tie her sideways. I'll untie her in a day or two I just noticed the undergrowth was thriving so I wanted to give the good growth some extra light to catch up to the top. I'll update pics later.
