Cfl light placement

Hey all

I have ordered a duel spec 300w Cfl http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dual-300w-Hydroponics-Grow-Light/dp/B008A5YBJ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360163319&sr=8-1

my grow box is 2ft x2f x 4ft

At the moment i have it so the light will be hanging down, Would it be worth it to re-arange to so the light is sidways above the plant?

Secondly, i do not have a reflector for the light, i have been thinking about cutting out a side of a caravan to size, bend it to a curve and painting it white
Then somehow attach the light to it, then hang it with green wire, so it will be able to be moved up when needed.

Any thoughts on this?

Is it worth doing? i'm not sure since the box is small and painted matt white to reflect light.

That light will work since its probably putting out about 18 to 20 thousand lumens. Assuming your not growing more than 3-4 plants. Buy some mylar reflective material. Glue it to some cardboard, and place it over the top of the light to spread the light out and act as a reflector. Also, turn the light so the long part of it is shining on the tops of the plants. With cfls you will want to add side lighting later.
