cfl indoor grow PLEASE HELP

IM THINKIN OF GROWIN 5 AUTO FLOWERING LOW RYDER PLANTS INDOOR USING CFLs AND WAS JUST TRYIN TO FIND OUT WHAT CFL LIGHT WOULD I NEED FOR THE FIRST FEW WEEKS OF GROWTH. ALL HELP WELCOME

Plenty of people have plenty of good results just using cfls.Ive seen someone yeild close to 4 oz with like 20 cfls so it can work.
For the first few week you can start off with 4 23 watt cfls then as time progress and they get bigger you add some 42 watt cfls as many as you need.
But instead of buying cfls time after time you can just get a hps system to flower with or to veg and flower.

5 plants is alot I think for CFLs. I'm only growing 1 plant at a time, so i'm using cfls

aint the hps lights expensive to run? in my experiance, cfls gave me great results and cost me maybe a third ov the price to run!

Have you grown with CFL's? they are cumbersome and need constant attention and like you said you need a ton of the small ones. Thats why I reccomend the large CFLs and T5 for veg and HID for Flower.

Here is a real live CFL grow, anyone considering CFL should read his entire journal.

Keep in mind stone is an experienced grower not a newb.

Hell yea stones journal is dope! Big potent buds can def be produced with CFL's! You just gotta keep em close man! I'd suggest going to read the 'sticky' (s) about Lux, Lumens and adding it all up. And any sticky on lighting. It'll help alot! I also talk alot about cfl's in the link in my sig, 'High wattage CFL's vs Low wattage CFL's' if your interested check it out. Good growin friend!

Here's a couple of my only cfl lighting buds, you can do it too! I'd also suggest looking into LST.

cheers for the coments very helpful

Bonzi Lighthouse yes m8 i might just do that.

would the 250w be anuf for veg of 5 plants or would i need an xtra 150w or sumthing. thanks
If you have the space than def 2 x 250w. But if you have that kind of space you might as well go HID. Keep in mind CFLs will not get the penatration like an HID or T5 HO.

Bottom line the more light the better. i would consider starting with one or 2 plants first go round. You are going to make lots of mistakes and from there you will be able to handle more plants.
