I am wondering if there are any experienced cfl growers who can help me. Ive got 4 plants at 42 days flowering. Im running 8 40 watt cfls in a mylar wrapped cab set up. ive got a 50 cfm exhaust which vents out my chimney stack. Super stealth set up. Ok heres the thing my plants are budding ok but there not very big buds. Maybe the size of a lighter. the pistils are starting to turn brown. is it possible they will bloom out a bunch more before my harvest window is gone? :bigjoint:

Your probably only halfway to 3/4 done, cfls seem to take a little longer to bud. The first step in a bud developing is the caylx formation then comes the swelling... You could easily have your buds gain twice the size before harvest rolls around... SO got any pics?

The first question is what strain are you using, because that will have a big bearing on amount of growth left. Typical cannabis plants stop vegetatively growing at 4 - 5 weeks flowering and start dedicating their energy to resin production and stem development. They may swell because of increased resin glands, but the plant should be done growing vegetatively by now bro. Good luck, happy final stretch for you

Wow cool quick response. thx. They are all northern lights. got the seeds from a pretty good source of mine who always has the baddest dank around. Even he told me it was some really good stuff and i trust his word as hes also a grower. I have had to go stealth as a result of a aquaintance of mine who the 5 0 had a warrant on and wanted to search my pad for him. few thank god he came out and gave himself up. but as a result i built a cab that i could ventilate well and i really quit proud of it. I will try to get some pics up soon. vents directly to the chim and out the roof and its ultra stealth. This is my first attempt at growing so i have done alot of reading about it here and other sites. i decided to put my plants on 12/12 at only 3 weeks veg. they seemed to love the new space that im constantly upgrading. they are now at day 42 flower and i had to tie them down cause the lights were starting to burn the leaves a bit. also ive made numerous mistakes. for some reason i thought some light trimming after bending them over of the damaged leaves was in order. i did cut off some lush green ones and after doing some reading i realize i may have stunted them badly. although other bud sites are popping out cause of the better lighting. id say there about 20 percent red hair now and im having to water them daily. is that to much? also any opinions on shults bloom plus? scared to use it.

on the stealth website, they offer a few different cfl lights, incliding the dual spectrum, for 3, 4 plants.........how many, of what should i use, i would think the dual spectrum would be better, just wondering if anyone has advice

The most important thing to remember is that most of bud production is done in the last 14 days. New growers often miss the perfect window for harvest and either their bud doesn't reach full strength or it pods out. Just make sure all of your trinchomes are clear before harvest.

This is true, every strain has an optimum level of resin production where it bulks up. The hardest thing for a new grower is the want to harvest before the strains bud has come to it's maturation point.

It's not bad you're watering that often, your plant will be thirsty at this point in flower, using a lot of energy and water. Get some pictures up and we'll have a look if you have any other issues mate

HiOnHydro and I used Schultz bloom in our first grow and it works really nice. 1/3 bottle strength for indoor plants on the bottle works perfect and can be raised from there. Good luck
