Nice setup! If this is your first grow, you did well, what strains are you growing, and what's your wattage?

Thanks :) It's amazing how much more intense they look when you take a pic and blow it up!
That picture is 27 days from flipping to 12/12.
I know. I saw mine up close and personal for the first time today and I'm like, hey, I DID THAT! It's my first indoor grow. I'll find pics later, this is your glory.

A little update... I will keep it posting here. This is just two weeks of flowers, 3 weeks from switch.View attachment 3408305
Great looking plants. Looks like I'm on track with my first grow and I'm at week 3 in flower and we look the same. It's my first indoor and i'm growing with CFLs. One 150 watt and one 42 watt on two plants in a very, very small grow room ( 2 boxes i stacked one on top of the other, cut a large square hole in the bottom of the top one and connected them with staples, glue, and wooden skewers, acting like achors. Then put mylar on the inside, including the floor of the bottom box all the way up to the top of the top box. I actually have a door on the front. Not too bad for a blonde (girl)). I've been able to grow out 6 plants, 4 of which are now outside and I picked two to keep inside and grow. they look just like yours. Don't tell me you can't grow with CFLs! I'm not posting any pics here, this is your glory! Good job!

Yeah get in there Silky T, any plant porn is good porn :)
Mine aren't really ready to show off yet. I can only show you their progression since birth on May 4. I'm a first time indoor grower and I planted them waaay before I got on this site and learned that I was supposed to treat the soil first! Soooo, at least they're still alive. They are 6 weeks old in the last few photos. They are just starting to bud. I Do need a better camara. Look at the bud photos in enlarged and they look better. Anyway, nothing to show off yet. But more pics to come!

Oh, I forgot. I'm growing these two plants with one 150 watt CFL and one 42 watt; the 150w being the "sun" and the 42w being the ambient light in the middle of plants.

I can't get them out of LARGE mode in viewing. Dang!:wall:bongsmilie

Thank you, now I have a really stupid question that I thought I knew. Will all those buds on the tips of my branches turn into colas? I'm looking at the branches and I'm trying to figure out how.

Your plants aren't topped, correct? You should get 1 main cola, and a bunch of smaller buds. Some of the smaller buds may be quite nice size, depending on the amount of light, nutrients, how long you flower, etc. Some nearly as big as the main cola, some varying in size down to "popcorn bud".

Thanks for your help. No, not topped but one was LST's for 5 weeks. I couldn't keep it down so I just let it back up. I only had it leaned to one side anyway, but it sure did create some strong branches on that side.
I read this on another site to somebody else's question that was similar to mine and it further confused me, "In a week you should see signs of pre-flower. (depending on strain) By two weeks you should start to see a cola forming from the top, and at every node there should be a lot of pistols, the pistols, will become buds, as they grow closer together, and fatten up. You shouldn't see bud till it's a month in, and they wont be ready for harvest for another 2-4 weeks. (depending on strain)"

Are "preflowers what I'm seeing (my pics above). I am seeing lots of pistils at every node, but "they will become buds" (colas?) I thought buds were just those popcorn things, I'm talking about colas on my branches and how can the "pistils at the nodes" grow closer together and fatten up? I guess I'm missing the difference between cola and bud. I'll know how it works when I get the finished product. Thanks again.

Sorry for the late reply man, been a busy day!! Looks like Dr Jon has got you covered on the buds etc. As for your other question, you're seeing buds right now. Preflowers are only a few pistils, not clumps like yours, you are officially in bud mode :)

Yeah! victory dance.gif Someone said I needed some special nutes (not the nutes in the bottle) like molasses, but I don't know how to use molasses. HELP!

Nice work @SwankyDank looking very frosty indeed :)

@Silky T molasses is usually used in a compost tea I think. Im only new to organics so could be wrong, bit i think you brew it up using some compost, kelp meal and molasses. Put some compost and kelp meal in some water with a tablespoon of molasses and a couple air stones and let it bubble for 24-48 hours. May be best for you to look it up though man as I haven't done it before. Basically, you need a hit of phosphours and potassium for the buds to fatten up.
