CFL Closet Freak

Hey guys, so my first grow was not successful at all. Nothing but males. Thats what i get from bag seed. I previously started out with a 12/12 light structure from seed. Learning from my mistakes I am running nothing but 24hr light on CFLs. Planted these Nov. 1st.

by the second set of pix cant tell yet what sex they are. but goodluck to ya with getting ur females.. i grew bagseed for my first grow and out of six i got two girlies.. i was disappointed but the shit was dank as hell..

yeah seeing how I have only been using rollitup.org as my resource for learning, i am starting on a small scale and literally no cost. Wanna know the phases of plant growth before i start dedicating any money. I dont have a green thumb, but i think i am anal enough to pull this off.

Even if i get one female out of the batch, I will be happy.

Then I will invest in proper equipment and seeds.

thats how i learned was by this site. i dint know shit about growing weed untill i did hours and hours of reading on here. i learned everything i know today. im still a newbie when it comes to growing too, i just started this year myself..

I can't believe the resources on RIU.org. I am so amazed at the community and its welcoming arms. Wonderful wonderful site.

I so want to get into this hardcore. I have a friend who can get me diesel clones (rooted) for $20 a pop. If i am successful i might take him up on the offer.

I do however have a question. Will light damage roots through a transparent pot? or even semi-transparent, i.e. a milk jug? It was just a thought I had.

Yea RIU is a great community full of answers to all my questions. Ive gotten away with using clear pots a few times but I heard the roots seeing light damages them so I stopped using em unless im cloning.

Gotcha! I ran out of pots and need to transplant immediatly cause my other cracked. So i ended up just using a milk jug. If necessary I will cover it in black paper or something.

So i dont think sexing is ready but looking closely, are these possibly the beginning of a pistil?

So after a couple days, I think these are preflowers. what do you think?

from this point on, how long do you think i have until i reach harvest.

i first started under cfl. they grow slower that way. After i switch to mh and hps the grow was great. The light cycle has a great deal to do with how will they will grow. Too much light they will dry out and not grow and not enough light and they will start to flower early. I use cfl for my cloning station it stay on 24-7 had ok results. When you veg a plant you want to give it close to the same amount of light they would get outside which would be 18 on 6 off and last week before you start flowering run 16 on 8 off. Then when you flower that is when you start the 12 on 12 off and if you want strong bud the last week off flowering you 8 on 16 off or 6 on 1 off this will help with tri-comb development. hope this helps!

from what is see in that picture it looks like it has already started flowering. It is not showing and tri comb or buds yet so it is still with in the first week of flowering or transition into flowering.
