okay, so since i've started my grow got a bit of the gardening bug, (theres something therapeutic about tending a garden)

was thinking of growing some of my own lettuce and carrots, but have loads of Coco Coir left from setting up for my girls
i've only ever grown in outdoor soil in the garden before and wondered if i could plant up some veg in Canna Coco Pro Coco Coir? Or is there something that means i can't?

Also as i've learned from growing the girls Coco has loads of nutes in, but would i need to feed them extra? (Not fussed about organic if i'm doing the growing, at least i know whats in there!) or would it be okay just to plant the seeds and keep watering them? (and if feeding isn't needed would doing so result in higher yields etc?)

who knows, maybe i'll end up growing most of the veg i eat like i used to back home, saved me a lot of money then!

cheers all!

Gardening is very therapeutic and can bring a lot of inner peace.:) I know that when I have a couple plants growing near me that I spend a lot of time tending to them and can attend to changes sooner. Having almost free groceries around when you get all munchiefied:hump: and too stoned to drive then you pick up better eating habits too. See! All kinds of nice rewards for playing in the dirt or water. :bigjoint:

Agreed on the therapeutic benefits of gardening. I just don't think there's anything better than growing your own fruits and veggies...if you do even a halfway decent job, they blow away store bought produce.

I've never worked with coco coir, wish I could give some insight on that. Although I'd imagine that if you can grow cannabis in coco, why not other plants? I'll be interested to see how it works for you. Good luck.

Not only is it a therapeutic but you spend around $1 to $2 on 1 to 2 heads of lettuce and yet you can buy a jumbo pack of lettuce seeds for the same price. Not only does the lettuce take around 30 to 45 days but you can grow it for pretty much free. I bought a bunch of different packs of herb seeds and 4 of them are heirloom and Now I have herb plants worth over $5 each under 1 season.

So in the end having your own garden is therapeutic and costs you alot less money to eat.
