Carbon Filter!

My room is sealed so I don't exhaust the air going through the carbon filter it just recycles the air in the room. I use co2 for my plants instead of fresh air. The air going over my hoods comes from outside (through the plywood, see video) and goes back out of the room on the other side. The air passing over the lights never comes in the room. How you run it depends on your setup. If you are running air cooled hoods and they are sucking air out of the room the you need to attach a filter.

Nice, I do not have air cooled/exhaust on my hoods.. not yet. As the room is still being constructed. My room is sealed as well. I am having trouble deciding how to configure the in/out air systems... I have many ideas and have been on these fourms a good deal talkin ab the setups of the air flows. But I want to be 100% confident on my choice before I start cutting holes for the fans and such...

Unless you are planning to have an A/C unit, you are going to have to have an air intake and exhaust, and in that case you would have to rout the exhaust through a carbon filter. I would definitely go with air-cooled lights tho as temps in your room will be high without them.

I use Can-filters brand only. Can-filter 66 and 75(400 and 600 cfm) for flower rooms that run year-round. I replace every 12-16 months. I have a Can 50 in main veg that has lasted 16 months and is still going, that room runs year-round. I also have a small tiny one for my dry room, can't remember the Can model number but being I only have it running about 10 days every month so that should last many years.
It's good to have a spare for each flower room. In veg you don't always need them but I would never run any room without one except my seedling/clone room.

So you spend about $400ish every 12ish months on flower room filters...plus more when you have to replace the veg room filter...That seems like it could add up. lol

What if you could get a product that extended the life of a carbon filter up to 200% (possibly beyond), that would not only eliminate (not just trap, like current carbon filters) odors, but would also trap and kill pests, molds, fungus, bacteria, germs, microbes, pollen, and any VOC pollutant that makes its way into your room...Do you think people would be interested in something like that?
