I have only ever used CanFilters. I cant wrap my head around filters that you can carry in your backpack. CanFilters are heavy! the Can50 I use is 42lb just in carbon. I don't think i have ever actually depleted one fully. after a couple years or so I put it on another fan in a room where I do my joint/bowl smoking.
Is the can filter easy to refill? that ipower sounds tempting thinking of getting the 10" model and attaching it to an 8" fan it just has screws and looks like it is easy to refill.

I am not certain but I don't think they are meant to be opened and refilled. I think I saw some years ago someone prying it open but TBH its not worth the hassle, the saving are minimal, and carbon is already nasty to work with. Can filters use the little pellet cylinder charcoal and they vibration pack it down, something i would not be able to achieve at home anyway. I am sure you can go 4 years easily on them in a personal small grow. They handle chemicals for years.

Which fan do you use with the can50 I noticed it doesn't have a flange. I live in a tropical country with coconuts I'm gonna check on the prices we export that so it might be really cheap here. If it's really cheap maybe I could start a carbon scrubber business lol. Buy old cans from members here and refill.

6" inline fan rated at 460CFM but I have it tuned down a bit so probably 350CFM
