so yesterday i picked up a roor corbon filter and a roor bowl from my local head shop
and from just using it yesterday it is the best investment ever
it keeps your bong nice and super clean after the smoke goes threw the carbon there in no resin AT ALL i cleaned my whole bong before i used it and it looks the same way it did before i smoked out of it
it works way better then an ashcather and it does catch the ash also haha
best 45 dollars i have every spend on my bong

and also the hits taste better!!
if you come across one i would deffinity pick one up!!
if i remember ill post some pictures so you can really see the difference from the bowl and the down stem

Just bought a carbon filter adapter for my bong last night! I cannot wait to get it! I have to run to the pet shop and get some activated carbon before it comes.
Take advantage of Grasscity.com's 20% Off EVERYTHING Independence Day Sale!!! :leaf: Enter coupon code IDGC2011 at checkout! I made my purchases last night at 12am and saved $20!

I can't wait! I also bought a tree armed precooler lol. I'm going to put the carbon filter on top. Couldn't resist grabbing the 18.8mm Vape add-on too. I won't be using that with the other two though

I don't get it... Why do you want to get rid of the flavor of your smoke? Thats half the fun of smokin.

haha man its hard to understand i buy tons of bongs and pipes and bubblers i love smoking, but the carbon adapter takes away the co2 in the smoke see any combustion reaction has oxygen and the thing that will burn and what comes out after its burnt is ash + CO2 + H2O + remaining elements burned, so the carbon adapter takes away all the carbon in the smoke leaving so your lungs dont breathe in carbon its much smoother and tastier, didnt believe it till i bought one its really sick

This is all just too cool! Hell, I didn't even know they made bongs with standardized fittings until yesterday LOL. Guess I'm a little behind times. Been trying to do a little research the last couple of days on activated carbon bong filters and came across some information someone was trying to peddle that a joint is the healthiest way to smoke. Something about the bong filtering more THC out along with the bad stuff so that you have to smoke more to get the same effect. I didn't really buy into this, but what I am wondering is that if there is a perceived reduction of "effect" when activated carbon is used in a bong?

I just read up on these... I don't know where you got the info about co2 and h2o, all i see that they do is further filter(tars) from your smoke. I can see how this kinda thing would be appealing to somebody who's bong crazy... But it just looks like a waste of money. If you're worried about inhaling co2, better stop breathing, it's everywhere. If you want a cleaner high, get a vaporizer. I like the taste of herb just how it is. I wonder what they'll come up with tomorrow to slap on your bong. Respect

man its just science i used to study it in school, bro i love smoking but i bought one of these cause i had tons of dough so i bought this and tried it on a few of my pieces that i smoke multiple times a day and its just sick, its just much cleaner and the strain taste is more dominant, if you have the money its worth every penny

you can easily use a down stem that has that bubble shape right under the top part. just shove a screen right under the bubble portion and fill the bubble up with 3x pre rinsed activated carbon from your local pet shop aisle. depends on how much you smoke usually you'd have to change it out every other bowl or so because it DEFINETLY catches the resin.
