Carbohydrates for ENHANCED FLAVOR

Just purchased a new GE Reverse Osmosis Complete Filtration Kit ... Only ran me $175 and has everything I need in the box. Last time my buddy grabbed one it ran him close to $300 so I was happy to get such a great deal. I plan to hook that up tomorrow morning and do a light feed. I'm sure the girls will love it, and it will make a huge difference in flavor when I do my flush as opposed to what I'm doing now (Garden Hose running thru a GE Heavy Duty Household Water Filter w/ Carbon Filter). I have no other use for the Heavy Duty, so I guess I'll continue to run thru that and then into the Reverse Osmosis, and the first filter will act as a sort of purge filter.

Just a update, as it's been a lil while since I've posted on this thread. Here is what I have done in regards to carbohydrates recently ...

Advanced Nutrients Bud Candy - This formula is claimed to be a simple & complex carbohydrate complex along with amino acids to create sweeter, "cotton candy" like buds. Or so they say. I only bought 1 Liter of this, and completed my use recently, focusing it's final bits more on my White Widow & StarTrek.

Botanicare SWEET - I used 3 of their flavors (Grape, Berry, Citrus) and funny enough DID notice that when I used these, the StarTrek was smelling much more pungent & sweeter. Now, it COULD have been the extra moisture and just the fact that when I was out there they had extra water to respirate and the extra moisture could have created a more intense smell? I'm always being a devils advocate, so I won't discount the fact it could be attributed to something other than this product.

Tropical Organics Banana Extract - This is a great organic carbohydrate that you don't usually find in other formulas. I really enjoy using this product, and it makes for a great foliar feed on top of that. The only problem is that I find it in very few places and it's usually cheaper to grab at my local hydro shop, but even they raised the price on us recently which was unnecessary, so I decided not to give in and did not buy another bottle. I will start composting my own organic banana peels that I use weekly and create my own banana extract for next year. And it'll be more potent than what they are selling me. Boom bitches!

W8 - This is a Canadian companies carbohydrate complex that I purchased last time, as it was the cheapest carb for a liter @ $14 and seemed to be the same as everything else, as it said simple & complex carb solution and I thought I'd give it a try. I open it up at home and it was thick and potent. By far the best carb product I've purchased that is specific to growing. It smelled like it had everything in it. I even felt like I could smell a hint of vanilla extract? I wonder if that'd even do anything if it was. Anyway, used the last of that today and I'm not sure if I am going to replace yet, but if I do buy more that was a great product. Although I do want to try General Hydro's carb products, too.

Wholefood Sweeteners 100% Organic Unsulphered Molasses - @ $6.99/bottle (also contains potassium, iron, cal-mag, vitamin b-6, ...) So I cannot think of any reason why this isn't the best deal & option for me to use for my plants. I grabbed 3 bottles of that the other day which should last me through the month. If you wanted to do a living soil grow, I think all you'd really want to do aside from having a great quality soil mixed with all your peat, perlite, vermiculite, slow releases, ... just add this organic molasses, some beneficial bacteria powder, and feed with light organic teas containing guanos, castings, emulsions, meals, ... and you'd be good to go. I plan to do a test on my next grow with organic/living soil plants next to fed plants.

+Rep on the report. Do you think that the plain molasses from Whole Foods works as well as something like Bud Candy? Thinking about running a test batch myself with two cuttings of the same plant on each product...
