Veg Tent from the Birds Eye View

Got a good shot of them bouncing back from being super cropped. If you look closely you'll see 3 nice fat swollen nodes where I smashed/compressed the stem and layer it over.

Then just a pic of some crazy roots!

Happy Gardening All!:leaf::weed:

Another Update! Just got around to checking the ph of my DWC bucket and was jaw dropped by my findings. I changed the clogged airstone and the plant looked to be turning around Friday before I left. Monday when I got back the plant was back to yellowing out and burning up. Well after testing both with a hand held unit and my liquid test drops I realized my water was at a 3.6 ph. I can only assume this happened when I changed that clogged air stone as I had replaced it with one I had soaked in Muratic Acid to clean it. Apparently I didn't do a good job of cleaning it out! Now onto the show and tell.....

Gave her all new water and nutrients and my fingers are crossed she's looking better by Monday!

Veg tent is doing well! I up potted a couple this week and sent the one in the bottom right corner into flower yesterday! 1st time trying a 7gal fabric sips container! Results in a couple months....

Both 20G SIPS containers just finished their 2nd week of flower. The one on the right is the GFC and it started to show some yellowing at the tips and has slowed down on growing. The other one is doing the exact opposite and is stretching a bit more than I like. I top dressed both with bio-tone and OSF and then put a good layer of well composted horse poo on top of that yet! Hoping that will carry them through flower as I'll be just giving water with the occasional malted barely tea or aloe water

UPDATE: Had a big transplanting day here as the veg tent was getting wildly out of control! Took some pics before the transplanting began and a photo of what the 2 in flower are looking like. When I got home and checked on things this morning the 5 gallon DWC took a turn for the worse and I ended up trashing it. Here are some pics of the before hand! I'll get more pics up by the end of the week to show what things are looking like after the transplanting....

All shots of veg tent before the transplanting.

Starting their 3rd week of flower! One on right is still lighter green but I just top dressed fresh amendments late last week.

Veg Tent Update: So Monday I transplanted everything that was in the veg tent but 2. 1 went into flower on Monday which was in a 7g fabric SIPS and the other 1 GFC was already in a 7 gallon plastic sips set up and I just transferred that to flower this morning. Im posting pics taken today of the veg tent 4 days after transplant and then snap shots of after topping/super cropping them.

The one GFC that just hit flower this morning. 7g plastic sips. Testing sizes and containers for sips

Todays pics of veg tent. 2 in 20 gallon no till SIPS and the other 2 in 5 gallon pseudo sips fabric pots.

Got them all even canopy now! That's also a yard stick in the center. These will stay put for 2 weeks and then the 2 20g no tills will hit the flower room and the 2 5g fabrics will be up potted to 20g no tills!!

Flower Room Update: So I have 2 new smaller 7 gallon SIPS containers moved in. The fabric one got flipped on Monday and the plastic container got flipped today! Also top dressed the 7 gallon Fabric today with kelp, bsf frass, bio-tone and topped with Purple Cow leaf compost. My worm bin will be ready for its 1st harvest in a month!! Soon done with purple cow compost. Its amazing stuff but free, even more amazing stuff is always better.

The 2 20gallon no tills are 3 weeks since the flip. The GFC(right) has slowed growth and faded and is clearly behind the IDK. They both went in at the same time and the GFC just started showing bud sights while IDK has bud sights developing. The GFC was in the 20g no till 2 weeks longer than IDK for vegging. Also around January I had to switch to tap water as my stock rainwater ran out. This might have a lot to do with the issues. Soon rainwater will be available here again in MI.

Both together and you can see the one on right is larger, faded and behind the IDK on left.

IDK 3 Weeks In and was top dressed a week ago

GFC 3 Weeks In and also top dressed a week ago....growing but slowly

Roots growing through the top dress 1 week later. Thats bsf frass, bio-tone, and aged horse poop

Almost forgot about the 7 gallon SIPS fabric pot thats a week in. She goes through more water by far than the plastic sips as you can see she's a bit dry and thirsty in the pics.

GFC 7 gallon SIPS doing well if you ask me! Lifted on a 5 gallon pail as she was short

Quick Weekly Update: Everything is looking good thus far. The veg tent bounced back over the weekend to the supper cropping. It looks to me as the GFC 20g is catching back up to the IDK 20g SIPS. I have been using some pH down with waterings as it seemed to be locking up nutes due to high pH.

Veg Tent Bounced Back

Bud Set is in Fruitation! I'd say the one on the right is making a come back!!! Its a monster too....:blsmoke:

7 gallon SIPS in an EZ Swap Fabric Pot! Just top dressed last Friday and working on her 2nd week of flower!!

Transplant Update: Have some clones ready to transplant and I thought I'd share my process. I felt bad as these 3 all dried out over the weekend and on Monday they were droopy and roots were dried up. They all bounced back with a soak in aloe water. My methods transplanting clones is the same as taking them. I ooze some fresh aloe onto the roots and then I like to throw a thunk of broken aloe into the hole and plant on top of that chunk of aloe.

And they are in their homes for the next 3 weeks!!

Weekly Update: This week I managed to fill the flower room!! I also made a mistake in thinking my GFC 20G sips was turning around and needed a boost. So I gave them all a real small dose of Fish Hydroslate....the GFC turned for the worse and my 7G sips in the fabric pot started yellowing. I'm going to assume its a mix of high phosphorus (I used to use PK booster with this soil 1st run) and high pH from using tap water all winter. Got rainwater flowing again to the rooms so they are all back to rain water. I never had issue with rainwater so we shall see whats to come. Picture time....

Veg Tent. These 3 will be flipped Monday! Then down to just a couple which is nice....as I'll be popping beans next week!

7G SIPS in plastic doing just fine. The 7G SIPS in fabric is fading already.

These were both on the same schedule and in the same soil. Right was vegged 2 weeks longer in 20G SIPS. Fading bad after boost

Buds are half the size of the one next to it. going to give straight rainwater till finish.

IDK in 20G SIPS doing great!!

Newest 20G SIPS flipped on Monday of this week! Fingers Crossed these stay looking that good till the end!

Not sure if I'll continue here at RIU as they've had problems for years. But heres the update. So at the beginning of April I had started filling my flower room with plants that had only been transplanted for 2 weeks into their final containers. All awhile the few others I've had in flower for 5 or more weeks. They all started showing major signs of yellowing and cal mag deficiency. I gave these ones a tsp of cal mag in a desperate attempt to turn them around.....3 days later when I returned home they were 5 times worse.

Here are the pictures....

GFC 20g SIPS 6 Weeks Into Flower....This 1 started yellowing 3 weeks in

IDK 20g SIPS 6 weeks into flower....this 1 started yellowing 5 weeks in

GFC 7g SIPS 6 weeks into flower.....started yellowing 3 weeks in

Filled the flower room....previously cleared and cleaned due to russets which I have a feeling are back and causing issues! Fingers Crossed it warms sooner than later so I can order predatory mites. I must have super mites as I've been battling for 2 years and nothing I do will wipe them out. Californicus mites is the only thing that allows me to harvest without issues but I loose them every winter as I can't control the humidity

weekly update: I do feel like I have a better idea of whats going on. pH is high due to using tap water all winter and my levels of PK and Cal is high due to using dry&liquid nutrients with these primary ingredients. I cut all my soil with limed peat moss this past weekbongsmiliebongsmilie Buds are behind and smaller than normal but smelling really good and super frosty:bigjoint::bigjoint:

Veg tent currently. Kept numbers low as I was waiting for warmer temps to order predatory mites....they arrived today. Popped 3 new strains. Malibu Pie, Dr. Who, and Ak-47 coming up!! Also some tomatoes are mixed in here.

Cut all my soil with 50 percent peat and added 35% by volume of GS-2. I feel like once I get to flower, moisture is hard to keep steady because the majority of my drainage was perlite. All done with perlite finally!

Today the 2 20 Gallon SIPS. Was planning to keep these no till but they will be reworked after the chop. Small fruits but smelly

Sorry about picture quality. But the tall yellowing one is a GFC in 7 Gallons. This is the view just left of the door.

View looking down to the left from the door. These are starting to yellow from bottom up. They look healthy otherwise.

View of the farthest light from the door. That one almost finished to the right is a klar(G13)

Quick Update: So I came back this weekend to room temps at 90:wall: and a bunch of severe yellowing on all the sips In the flower room! I also finally choped my 1st 2 DIY 20G SIPS plants and am pleased with the medicine but could use improvements. On the next run I'm cutting all soil with 50% limed peat and getting my drainage to 40 percent with pumice. Totally done with perlite and hydroton. Also going to use a mix of 50/50 Tap Water and Rain Water. I had way to many variables that changed and it made to diagnose my issues. After chopping I realized my rootballs are bone dry until the bottom few inches which obviously hurt!! Can't wait for round 2 of SIPS gardening:bigjoint::bigjoint:

Thats the 20G DIY SIPS Grape Fat Cheese

And this is the DIY 20G SIPS IDK Farm white widow cross

More Updates Coming this evening:weed:

Looking good! Had you used the Purple Cow compost before this run? I just picked up a bag for my next mix, and I'm wondering what kind of results others are seeing.
