I heated mine and got wax and i have also not heated and got glass so it really takes trial and error you will figure it out just play around with heating temps and how well u work it

You all are missing the point. With out a vac...you need to spread it very thin on a double boiler at 130-140 to make clear oil, like super duper thin. Once all the butane has purged (WITH HEAT, you need to get the oil viscous enough for the butane to escape) Then you can "whip" it up or do w/e the fuck you want with it. But when you just try to purge strait into a wax or butter it is going to have trapped tane...

I can't get the oil to turn to wax I double boiled it whipped it but all I end up with is gold peanut butter

Golden peanut butter means you whipped air into while there was still butane left in the product. Repurge it like I said and watch all the bubbles appear.

Make it thin and keep scraping with pointy edge of razor blaze until its a clear amber it may get darker when piled up but when thin as long as u get it clear then u should be good to go as far as butane being left in the oil

after the extraction i cook mine at 150 - 170 F* ..spread as thin as possible ,,,while its heating underneth i use a heat gun on low and heat it for about 5 mins ...then let it cool off..take outta hot water.keep working it//either whipping, spreading, pressing (not with fingers) ..then reheat for another 7- 10 mins at low 110 to 120 F*...then cool down for the last time...scrap it all up into container [i use a shot glass and a candle top that happened to fit perfectly] freeze it for about 30 mins and i came out with some of the best shatter amber glass..been pulling superstretchy hits about 6 to 10 inches long.. im sure there are other way to better it...if so plz let me knw!!

Dead right there man, people dont realize how much tane is left in this stuff, whipping is a joke, it only whips butane into a cloudy mess, lol. I dont need to spread it out to make perfect gold or red oil, just simmer for 30 minutes at 120F, [thats with ISO], tane is GOLD or amber, if it will whip, its shit!! Spreading it out gives GLASS!! I prefer to take it to a more solid, rubbery state, balls up for dabs in your fingers:) RED, GOLD, AMBER, whatever i want!! I dont use tane since i worked out a good sealed tube for people!! ISO will make as good a product as anything ive tried, and it is sooo smoooth:) I used to wash my tane with ISO...twice, big diference...perfect purge!!

Look at the shots man, there are so many products you can make with ISO, experiment!! All down to time and temp and a perfect strip!!

So Iso washed bho... I have done 1000s of extracts including 91% and 99% ISOs,Lots to say.. Iso Alch Is NO BETTER than Butane. Plus was water in it. Everclear has sugars in it. If your going to wash your BHO to make it cleaner you need to use PURE ALch. which is hard to find if your not a chemist. Not to mention Alch Washed BHO Lowers THC Levels up to 30%. As Far as just BHO. Purging is a slow Process Vac Purge or not. Time is EVERYTHING!!! Like mentioned before To much heat and agitation will trap Butane in the fats of the bho. But heat is Key Also. I Purge mine over a time of 3 to 4 days, 4 times a day in Temp Controlled Water. Another Big thing is all in the Butane you are using. I am a sucker for Vector. Also Guys NO PLASTIC EXTRACTORS!!! Butane Stripes Plastic...

They whole idea that whipping makes wax is false. I don't whip at all.

I vac purge. Then let it sit for 2 days. Then I put it on low heat (~90 degrees) for a while until it's pliable again. then stir it a bit. Put back into the vac chamber. Then let it sit for a couple of days. Then broil it in the toaster oven on a very low heat for a couple of hours. Then it's wax.

Why do you want to turn it to wax?

Not all oil will turn to wax, in my experience, lower quality oils won't do it
Wax is the trend. When you say lower quality are you talking directly about nug vs sugar leaf? Or are you talking about the grade of trim itself? When you say the oil wont turn into wax are you talking about under vacuum?

Wow. All this excessive heating, yikes
I heat before the vac purges so it's warm enough to puff out.

The last heat is just speeds up the process. Yes, it is excessive, but it's also quicker! Doesn't hurt it too much as long as you're not over heating.

But point taken, you are correct.

If u use dry heat instead of water for your initial boil off, don't go above 90° and only go until there's no more 'liquid' butane rolling around, allow to return to room temp and then vac u can avoid the heat (at least anything more than a mid summer days worth) until the very last purge which is the honeycombing stage. Check out bret1maverick on YouTube. He shows a good rendition of the method. Works like a champ. I prefer my carmelized sugar texture the best but honeycomb wax is all the rage so it has to be made sometimes.

That requires plugging something in near liquid butane. Hommie don't play dat. I don't care if it makes better wax, that's an unacceptable risk to me.
