Hey guys I'm growing a pure indica, my friend is growing the same cutting and the characteristic of the plant (leaves thickness colour) is completely different than mine. His are extremely fat leaves and mine well they're narrow.

Pictures? Could be your light or the plant has a sativa phenotype my light has alot of red so the leaves are longer, blue light helps with fatter leaves

They're the same cut so same mother = clone. Clone = identical genetics. Pheno = same for both cuts yo.

It's definitely an environmental cause. Most likely stemming from multiple sources.

Each grow is different and each cultivator is differently experienced.

If your friend grew their plant of identical genetics, and got a better product, then you must have done something differently than them.

Do you know the conditions for both grows?

Cheers!

A lack of calcium and phosphorous, both can make the plants stunted and leaves growing thinner than they are supposed to.
Edit: I also went back over my notes, a micro nutrient deficiency of Zinc will cause smaller/thinner malformed leaves..... take a good look at what your feeding them. Make sure you don't have a salt build up in the soil you may have a nute lock out.

yeah, plants respond to their environment, and you aren't giving your plant the same environment as your friend. unless you have the same light, close to the same rh, same temps, same food, you're not going to grow very similar plants.
don't worry about it, grow the best plant you can grow, and compare it to his when you're done.
