"shit just happens"
. It flows down hill too unless some uses a pump...then there's virtually no limit to the amount of shit that can flow.
Now, who would be the "one" responsible for making such mishandled, misguided deals??
I wonder who sold our land out from under our own noses before anything could be said or down about it....?
I wonder who that might be?

So they got a premium price for land that was unused. It seems you are determined to manufacture an outrage where there is none.

Our government is to blame fully. Relying on dirty oil, fear mongering about terrorists, and participating in un sanctioned wars. Next thing you know Canadians will be fighting in Ukraine. Harper needs to go, don't you agree Red?

Itsme.

I think they put all their eggs in one basket...who would have ever thought that oil would bottom out again? I don't think they really had a plan.

Oil is currently priced in Dollars. Check out a recent chart of the dollar. Strong dollar = cheap oil. Not so long ago oil was $30 barrel it's only during the recent catastrophe that it hovered around $100.

The question I have to ask myself is "Is that really the cost?" The oil companies probably said that. But that's beside the point. I think the whole idea is to keep inventory high and the price low to put as big of a squeeze on Putin as possible. Oil production is a massive portion of their GDP.

If there was any way to bet on higher crude prices at some far off time in the future other than filling my pool with it you better believe I'd be making that bet. They will rise when it benefits the right people or market conditions change. Until that day $50-60 crude is here to stay.

Harper is taking his lessons from the American Republican party. He's learned them well, so perhaps it's time to try a more extreme track; start calling him a fascist in public and make him defend his record against that charge.

I'm an American (born in Canada), I think that qualifies me to make the suggestion...

Buy long on oil futures now, you'll be in the money by summertime.

Try $4.80 for that same gallon here in Canada. Funny how oil prices have dropped From $100 a barrel to $50 and I still pay the same at the pump.

That's crazy.
Over the winter I paid $2.15 one week.
Been years since I saw a price that low.

I guess we'll hear the springtime lie " Oil companies are
changing over to Summer blended fuels".

Not a lie, a real phenomenon; summer gas needs to have lower vapor pressure, this makes it more expensive.
