canada vs uk banks

Does anyone have experience ordering seeds from both countries? canadas banks and uk's banks. Ive been looking at some from other reviews and idk which to go with in terms of getting thru customs and stealth and reliability. big issue is which country would it be easier to get seed from bank to home n US. comments?

Why would that matter? They both go through the same custom's. I would make sure they offer a insurance guarantee. I get it every time and never needed it except this last time and I'm glad I did.
I understand stealth and reliability are an issue but if your seed's are seized all you are out is the money you spent on them. All you get is a letter saying, "fuck you and your shit, it's our's now". You get the guarantee, you get the reship and it start's over again.

Ive wondered the same thing,

Canada is a little safer, inter-provincial security is nothing compared with international shipping security/inspection for Canadians. 1/1000 packages would get caught within Canada, whereas 10/100 coming from International locations might get stopped... Everyone trusts Canada/Canadians also so shipping packages from Canada is much less risky for an American, I would think, then it would be to purchase internationally.

Ive ordered from both Canada and the UK, I am in Canada though.. Ive gotten seeds in 5-6 days from the main Canadian supplier I use.. so time wise it might be better if your need seeds fast to buy Canadian... Might knock a week to 10 days off delivery time also...

ya i have ordered from both. honestly herbies has never missed once in many many orders. 5 days is fast too

I buy seed in Canada and never once have I had to worry, never once. I can not say the same if I had to buy from another country.
My advice is buy locally(your own country) and the risks will be minimal.

Seeds are legal in the gwn no? I've never had seeds not get to me. I do , however , order within canada. I have considered some seed vendors from the UK. i imagine the mail volume from UK to Canada is large. Given that the seeds are legal i have no idea why Can customs would waste their time. Aren't they busy trying to 'protect' us from terrorists?

don't take this as gospel killem, but i am pretty sure cannabis seeds are legal to possess in the gwn, but not legal to import, which is why customs will take them if found..

Seeds themselves are not illegal but selling them thru the mail is. I have ordered from a few Canadians and they seem to do it right by marking the package as a gift and no indications of what the contents might be and I get them delivered within 3 day's max anywhere in canada. I still say that people worry about getting seeds to much as really how many people get busted buying seeds? how many people lose there package?very little. And how many people get ripped of?not many.
Buy the seeds if they don't come complain and most reputable seed sellers will either send more or reimburse.

I don't think you should worry about anything as long as you have
guarantee shipping.I have ordered seeds from both and they always
go through Chicago customs still have not had a problem.

I normally only order 20 at a time.

If you did have a problem just send them a pic of the box or envelope they came in and they should reship.

Thanks RB, wasn't sure about that. That makes sense. These govt's are obviously colluding to try and fuck the gene pool up. One spring, in multiple locations, we should let it rip. Massive fields of polyhybrids just to have tens of thousands of seeds for posterity. Ahhhh, fields of dreams.

I always use a money order as insurance. I occasionally use cash to 'test' the honesty of a new vendor. If they fuck me I know they're dicks. So far no one has.

900, is it your observation/impression that the govt has given up on the homegrower in the GWN? seems that way to me. In t.o. the pd only seem to go after 10kw and up. Bastqards use flir and then backtrack on guys.

One could try hempdepot.ca Honest guys, helpful, respond to emails if u want to know more about a strain. They have a 'houseline' called Beanhoarder. There is some very special stuff in his myriad of seeds. Some of them for as little as $20 a pack. I'm currently trying out some Haze, c99 and other crosses. They threw me a freebie of malberry's 'malawi gold'. I am very excited to see the results and will post data/pics in the future. Also, they carry Chimera who has a bunch of new gear including a new medical strain called 'cbd lullaby'; i very much look forward to ordering that in the future.

p.s. I'm not plugging that vendor for any other reason than they are great. I'm old school. I do what i say and always help unless someone is a dick. IMHO Brad and the boys at hdepot are stand-up guys. I like and respect them. They've been very helpful and, in the future, i will be sending them gifts of thanks.

i tend to agree, most canadian banks are way more pricey than uk based banks ime.

those two spots are great imvho, but less of a bank, and more of getting them direct from the breeder, kind of like a sannies if you will..

I've typically ordered from Canadian banks but I've found many have limited selection, and more expensive. Just ordered from a Uk bank (Seed City) because they had what I was looking for and a much better selection all around, price was comparable including shipping et al. Also interested in seeing how long it takes in comparison to CA orders. What prompted me to buy from Seed City was they had Acapulco Gold which was "the" weed to smoke in the mid to late 70's, and difficult to get, you had to know "a guy". It's probably been 40 years since I (or any of my smoke buddies in my age group) smoked any so I HAVE TO grow it out, if nothing else to see the look on my buddies faces when I pull out a bag of it and tell them what it is, should be a good smoke party, I'll become "the guy" - lmao

anyone ever go to Niagara Falls, Ontario in person and visit any of the seed banks there ? I've heard very mixed reviews, and they seem expensive....However, I did hear that one of them carries a good strain of New York Power Diesel.
