hello guys...i am wondering....is it a good idea to take clones from a plant that has been battling root rot??

the root rot seems to be under control now, i have nice white roots. I cut off a big mass of brown roots, and they seem to be doing better.

so i am wondering....will clones from such a plant pass on the root rot problem...or wiwll they be ok??

You should be able to take clones just fine. Root rot can systematically infect the plant and be passed on to the clones, but from what i've experienced, it has to be pretty advanced before that happens. If your mothers have nice white roots now, I would say it's fine to take cuttings. Just keep in mind that root disease is always present waiting to get a foothold, even in the cleanest of systems.

If the Vegatative growth isn't hardened, or rotted it self yes, but remember, if this one plant teneded to root rot, so may it's clones. Unless if it was your fault. . . but I have found that even clones of plants that take to rot or mold tend to as well. . .
