Can you "burn" cannabis oil?

I was extracting oil out of cannabis with isopropyl alcohol 99%, but I accidentally forgot the pot on the stove and when I looked, alcohol was all gone and oil was frying on max heat.

I was at the same time very surprised to see that it happened all so fast, because I've done it before many times and.. well.. I guess I just fucked up this time.

But I don't think it had been there for more than 5 minutes. Possible that it just happened before I looked, in a matter of seconds, but no more than 5 minutes.

Nevertheless I finished with a proper decarboxylation process on a coffe heater plate.

Finally I tested it and it was working just as good as all my previous batches of oil. It was very potent.

So when it didn't lose any noticeable amount of potency, is there a possibility that I may have made the oil somehow unhealthy?

I mean if you burn food, it's unhealthy because of the cancerogenous substances that form in the process of "burning" food.

Does the same apply to the cannabis oil?

I need to know this, because I wouldn't feel good giving oil to a person who has cancer, if it may be unhealthy because of the "burned" oil effect.

Did I ruin the oil's "healthyness" or purity? Or do you think it's good to use if it's potent?

Please reply.

well how do you smoke the end product? myself I heat a nail super hot hundreds and hundreds of degrees im sure and then tap dabs onto it while inhaling so when the wax ignites and becomes a plume of smoke its really really hot.
think the product heated up more than its smoke point?

You can burn it and it smells burned.

You can also turn the THC to CBN and make it more sedative.
