Can use an expert opinion on how much longer to harvest

This is my first grow in a long time so I could use some advice. It looks like the trichomes are clouding up but no sign of any amber trichomes yet, but I think they are close. I nipped a tiny bud from the bottom to test and it is already a really strong high so I think it is close to time.

Strain - Herijuana and Mad Scientist (I lost track of which close up pic is which though)

Switched to 12/12 on 3/8.

Any help is appreciated.

Lots of white pistils, no real amber trichs, I'd say you still got a while to go. Judging by the look of it, the thick clusters of new white pistils, etc, things are really gonna start bulking up soon, patience will pay off big dividends. I would give her quite a bit more time. Lookin good!

If you go with all cloudy/milky "tic's" you will harvest at the highest THC levels - when the PLANT STARTS TO SHOW "AMBER" COLOR TIC'S THIS IS WHEN THE PLANT IS STARTING TO DECAY- and will give you more of a body high than head high as with milky tic's. - this is why many perfer a 50/5- mix (50% milky/50% amber) When it comes to harvest it becomes a personal choice and what the cultivator wants/desires. Remember one has a 14 day harvest window !!! Happy Harvest (May 6th may harvest date) (Generally it takes 2-2.5 months in flower before harvest

Thanks for the advice - I'll keep an eye on it and will probably pull them once the "tic's" are mostly cloudy and there is just some amber, going for the optimal THC level.

Every closeup has all red hairs except one that has a couple white left. Youd put plants with all red hair back in for three more weeks? I wouldnt buy it ;)
The red hairs just stand out more, and the color is off in he camera (possibly because of the lights) if you look closely there's actually many more brand new white hairs than there are red ones in pretty much all those pics.

I dunno, im seeing the sugar leaves with amber on them in a bunch of spots and a lot of red hair. I generally harvest at 55 days. The 3-4 weeks guy is suggesting half of my grow time added on to the time and those plants look way more than half way there. I still think a week, plus maybe a couple days, i do see some more white hairs in a couple spots but i think its really close.

2-3 weeks is accurate it's just going into ripening stage which is the most important. Also. Breeders estimated flowering time DOES not take into consideration pre flowering. 10-14 days after flip to 12/12. So I always add 2 weeks to breeders recommendations. Happy growing !!.

I didn't know you could tell ripeness from the color of the hairs.
Some strains hairs barely turn amber at all even at the peak.
The "trichs" are what I always go by. Once you can notice amber in jus about every spot u check, then its cool to chop(Trichs still mature after the plant is chopped)

Not just the color of te hairs. I look at calyx swelling. Pistols receding instead of shooting new growth and color and of course trichomes.

I meant it sarcastically lol
Like Ace said, there is no sign of any amber and u switched on 3/8 so she is only at about 5weeks. You let her ride a while longer and im sure you'll be satisfied.
