i think some people do it ok if they trim a tiny tiny bit and only in the event of super dense canopy

but ive noticed people are going way overboard somtimes trimming way way way too much without even a reason for the trimming.

heres my gurls from back in the day no trim:

You meant to say identical clones right?? I've done a few side by side experiments, but I never questioned the concept that more photosynthesis = more buds..
certainly identical clones would be optimal, but for a good feel of which is correct two seeds from the same mommie grown together and treated together should be close enough to fathom a posit to which is more advantageous.

I agree that more photo= better buds, but the photo is utilized by the leaves and not the buds. each has their own specific role. When you trim you increase photo but you have removed the receptacle... :peace:

I can't agree about the seeds, no two individuals are alike, even with an ultra true breeding strain, and other strains have too many phenos to really call phenos..
And I'm aware of the purpose of leaves.. They are the power-houses of photosynthesis, but buds are green too, and therefore contain chloroplyll.. There are chloroplasts in the calyxes, just not in the pistils.. So even buds with a good flower:leaf ratio will need to be in good light..
Again though, I'm not a fan of cutting without serious reason.. Fan leaves are warehouses filled with alot of product the plant will call for later..

i have about 20 plants flowering now and a few mothers and some clones so im definitly gona try this and i dont think it would make much of a experiment on different phenos, so now i pruned one of my WR and one euphoria DP then il do it with 2 clones from the same mom
