Hey guys i have 2 plants in my frow box at the moment. Repotten them last night into a rectangle terracotta plant pot(looks fricken sick), the soil mixture i chucked them in is consisted of a few different things
1. Perlite
2. Garden compost
3. Organic potting mix
4. Sheep pellets(blood and bone)
5. Seed raising mix
6. A mixture of worm castings and dry cow manure from a farm
7. A few earth worms just for the fun of it.

Currently the 2 plants are around 4 to 4 and a half weeks old and about 3 to 4 inches tall.

My grow box isnt the tallest grow box in the world and due to the fact that the plants gain alot more in size during flowering it is the reason i am here asking if you guys think now would be a good time to turn the light over from 24 to 12/12?

And also another thing i have been wondering is if i am in flowering mode and my mother inlaw comes for a visit for a week end will it harm the plants to put them outside hidden in the long grass for 3 or 4 days bcoz she doesnt really agree with growing.

Heres some pics of them, i might have over exagerated the height of them a wee bit more like 2 to 3 inches and its hard to see in the pics but the plant that looks more normal than the other one has a slight purple tinge to it. Hope its in the strain and not a deficiancy

Well good luck! Typically you want one plant per container. How much are you hoping to yield?

If you are growing just to try it out. Then yeah throw them outside and probably leave them there. Get a bigger pot.

The soil looks good though.

Yes im doing it at the moment just bcoz i can really and to see if i can do it so no i dont care about yield as long as i can atleast have a toke or 3, the pot is alot deeper and wider than it looks, regarding putting them outside that isnt a permanent thing. It is only for the week end that my wifes mother comes to visit as shes the kind of person who will call the 5/0 on me. I was just wondwring if 2 or 3 days outside would hurt in the budding stage. Its going to winter soon so im assumind the light hours are alright but might be too cold

Hrmmmm, They Probably be fine but night would worry me. Just keep on an eye them. What are the temperatures?

If the leaves droop the plant is unhappy. Make your goal a healthy happy plant and you'll be fine.

I like doing soil beds plants seem to like it and it's hard to have rootbound problems. Here's some of where we did experiments with pots vs. Soil beds, we got a tiny bit of pm early in flower in the pots which never happened with the beds. Also colas were bigger in the beds.

Info four 4x20 plots, 2 beds filled in with soil, 2 beds line with 12 to 16 pots per 4x4 not the greatest picture but we were harvesting and you the front rows were the pots and you can kind of see the canopy is not as dense.

I added more perlite than i would have thought to add so hopefully it doesnt ruin the soil mixture

I know its strain dependant but how long would it take to show sex if i turn to 12 on 12 off today judging by their size?

So you think a month from now and ill see flowers or pistols? Im also thinking of trainong them some how but not sure what would work best for my situation. Im thinking of lsting them flat to the dirt and letting them grow parallel to each other ao basicaly top and tailing in the pot.

That's interesting. Have you ever heard of Three Little Birds? They do a "Jog- Style Grow" I think it stands for jungle of green or something. I read an article way back. They grow planter bed style but they have a ton of soil and only put 3 plants per.

Here is a link to it:

Never heard of jungle of green before lol sounds cool

Although after reading it I use to do something similar in my 3 x 2 tent. I would just fill my 20 gallon botanicare res with soil (8 cubic ft) and plant 2 to 4 plants in there. Worked way better and was easier to manage than individual pots in the small tent and was cool because I never had to repot

Under these circumstances.... I retract this statement: "Typically you want one plant per container."

I think it's more about quantity of soil than plants per pot. But I agree usually with like 1 to 10 or so gallon pots there should only be one plant per container. And outdoor like 1 plant per 50 gallon pot lol
