Can i take a bud to try if the plant is ready?

ummmmm you can.... but by the time that 1 bud is ready, a week will have gone by since ya cut it.
Look at the harvesting / curing pages, theres a lot of way to see if its done. the most accurate is with a 30x magnifying glass, looking at the trichromes, and their color. clear = not ready, cloudy = about ready, and amber = past ready. when ya see a good even mix of these, its time to chop it all down.
the worst thing you can do it chop early, you limit strength, and have to deal with the thought that maybe, just maybe, if you waited another week or 2, or 3, youd have more pot, more potency, and less regret.
